In 2018, SelectQuote implemented GoodHire as its BackGround Screening application to operationalize candidate screening within recruiting and onboarding. GoodHire was deployed to support Sales Development Advisors and Onboarding Coordinators and to centralize routine background checks and candidate paperwork processing for the Overland Park, KS site.
The GoodHire implementation covered core background screening workflows, candidate document management, audit tracking, status updates for returned candidate documents, and the generation and delivery of offer letters. Operational use included processing candidate paperwork, conducting background checks, performing audits, sending offer letters, training new hires, and managing class check ins through the GoodHire platform.
GoodHire was integrated into SelectQuote daily hiring operations alongside existing tools including Breezy for applicant tracking, Ultipro for HRIS record keeping, DocuSign for electronic offer letters, Five9 for telephony and scheduling, Smart Sheets for coordination, and Zoom and Google for remote onboarding and communication. Integrations enabled candidate data exchange, automated screening triggers, and electronic document handling between GoodHire and those systems.
Governance and operational controls emphasized audit trails and document update workflows, with onboarding coordinators and recruiting teams enforcing returned document updates and audit reviews within GoodHire. Training of new hires and ongoing class check in processes were explicitly supported through the GoodHire-driven screening and paperwork workflow.
