The deployment emphasized vendor-managed local employment compliance and standardized onboarding, reducing the operational burden of maintaining separate country level processes.
Governance shifted toward centralized oversight with Remote HRIS serving as the single source of record for Semrushs international workforce, and process changes focused on standardized employment documentation and compliance checkpoints. The arrangement enabled Semrush to scale hiring across EMEA and APAC without establishing local legal entities, relying on Remote for ongoing HR, tax, compliance and mobility support.

The implementation was publicized in 2024 and produced an explicit outcome of shortening intake cycle times from 19 days to 10 days while improving the requester experience.
