In 2011, SHV Holdings implemented Infor M3 as its Manufacturing ERP to provide a standardized enterprise application for the Nutreco business unit that produces animal nutrition and fish feed. The deployment targeted manufacturing and supply chain control across Nutreco operations, which employ approximately 10,000 people in more than 30 countries, and was positioned to consolidate operational data into a single ERP platform.
Infor M3 was configured to support core Manufacturing ERP functionality, including production planning, inventory and warehouse management, procurement and supplier invoicing, sales order management and lot traceability. Configuration work emphasized master data consolidation for products and customers, multilingual transactional screens to match Nutreco s international footprint, and workflows for approval and data validation consistent with enterprise manufacturing operations.
Prior to and alongside the ERP program Nutreco had centralized customer information in Microsoft Dynamics CRM and maintained integrations between CRM and Movex ERP, plus document sharing via SharePoint, creating existing cross-system data flows for product and customer records. Those established CRM to ERP and document management integrations served as operational context for ERP rollout, and informed governance needs around single source of truth for master data and synchronized approval processes.
Governance and process restructuring focused on preventing duplicate entry and enforcing approval gates so that product and customer records follow controlled lifecycle steps before becoming operational. Implementation emphasis was on aligning manufacturing, order-to-cash, and procurement workflows with corporate governance, and on enabling consistent multilingual data presentation and segmentation across Nutreco s international sites.
