SAP SAP R/3 SAP ERP ECC 6.0 ERP Financial ERP n/a 2012 2013
In 2012, Sodexo UK&I implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0, transitioning from SAP R/3 to centralise vendor master data and strengthen vendor governance across its UK operations. The deployment positioned SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as the core ERP Financial application for vendor account lifecycle management and accounts payable interfacing, with a clear focus on harmonising data and process ownership between a Manchester Business Shared Service office and the Stevenage head office. The implementation emphasized vendor master data administration and payment term workflows, with day to day administration of more than 33,000 vendor records managed in SAP ERP ECC 6.0. Functional activities included vendor account setup control, payment term request processing to support cash flow management, and participation in SAP ECC 6.0 role based functional testing and final user acceptance testing. Operational coverage extended across Accounts Payable, Purchasing Finance, Commercial Accountants, Business Liaison Managers, Help Desk Support, and senior business process stakeholders, reflecting a cross functional rollout rather than a single departmental change. The programme moved the Vendor Master Data Administrator role from Manchester to Stevenage, concentrating ownership of vendor governance and reconciliation within head office operational structure and aligning reporting to the Business Processes and Systems Director and Senior Systems Manager. Governance and process restructuring were delivered through stakeholder analysis, project documentation and training material managed by the vendor master data lead, and by chairing cross functional meetings to reduce account conflicts. Process simplification workstream traced requirements from contract terms to SAP implementation, and harmonisation with Accounts Payable and Commercial Accounting created tighter control over vendor payments and reconciliation. Explicit outcomes reported from the programme included a reduction of vendor account setup requests by 40 percent and improved cash flow management through refined payment term request handling. These outcomes were achieved within the SAP ERP ECC 6.0 ERP Financial framework while retaining documented functional testing and UAT as part of the controlled rollout.

Oracle Legacy Oracle Cloud HCM Core HR HCM n/a 2016 2016
In 2016, Sodexo UK&I deployed Oracle Cloud HCM as its Core HR application. The Oracle Cloud HCM deployment created a cloud-based foundation for employee master data, workforce administration, and core HR processes across the UK and Ireland operations. The implementation emphasized standard Core HR capabilities including employee records, organizational management, and absence and compliance administration to centralize HR recordkeeping. Concurrently Sodexo worked in partnership with Kronos to introduce a time and attendance solution using InTouch biometric terminals to capture clock in and clock out activity across Central Manchester Hospitals. That Kronos rollout was implemented alongside Oracle Cloud HCM to provide structured time capture for hospital site operations and to support HR and operations workflows. Governance focused on biometric time capture procedures and centralized HR data management to align onsite timekeeping practices with corporate HR administration.

SAP Legacy SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Plant Maintenance (PM) Plant Maintenance ERP Services and Operations n/a 2014 2014
In 2014, Sodexo UK&I implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Plant Maintenance (PM) to centralize maintenance operations within its facilities services organization. The deployment targeted Plant Maintenance processes across Sodexo UK&I and aligned PM execution with enterprise ERP operations. The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Plant Maintenance (PM) implementation included configuration of core PM functional modules, including equipment master management, maintenance notifications, corrective and preventive work order processing, and maintenance planning and scheduling. Inventory and spare parts linkage was configured to the MM module to support parts reservation, issue posting and material valuation within maintenance workflows. Integrations were established with SAP FICO for cost posting and asset accounting, SAP PS for project based maintenance activities, SAP SD for service related order alignment, SAP MM for procurement and materials management, and BW 7.3 for operational reporting and analytics. Associated portals were connected to provide technician and planner access, enabling an operational flow from notification creation through work execution and financial settlement. Governance and access control were formalized through role based authorisations and segregation of duties enforcement, supported by an SAP Security and Authorisations Consultant who from February 2015 designed, built, implemented and provided ongoing support for roles and access in ECC 6 across FICO, PS, PM, SD, MM and BW 7.3 and the associated portals. Change control for authorization objects and periodic role reviews were embedded into operational processes to sustain access management and compliance.
