In 2022 South East Water implemented Oracle Cloud ERP as its core financial system, deploying a cloud-first architecture consistent with the ERP Financial category. The implementation was provisioned on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and consumed SaaS capabilities from Oracle Fusion ERP, with platform integration patterns leveraging Oracle Integration Cloud and complementary modules from Oracle SCM, Oracle PPM and Oracle EPM.
Configuration work focused on financial management processes typical for ERP Financial deployments, including general ledger design, accounts payable and receivable workflows, procurement orchestration and project costing controls tied to Oracle Procurement Cloud and Oracle PPM. The deployment emphasized orchestration between transactional finance, procurement and project portfolio management to support utilities-specific financial and capital delivery processes.
Integrations were explicitly structured using Oracle Integration Cloud to exchange transactional and master data across Oracle Fusion ERP, Oracle SCM, Oracle PPM and Oracle EPM, with infrastructure hosted on Oracle OCI to centralize security and access controls. Operational coverage extended across finance, procurement and project delivery teams within South East Water, aligning financial close, procurement approvals and project costing to a unified Oracle Cloud ERP instance.
Governance and stabilization activity continued after the initial 2022 rollout, with an Oracle Solution Architect engaged in an Oracle Stabilisation Project to ensure secure and robust infrastructure aligned with South East Water policies. The stabilization effort involved collaboration between business stakeholders, systems analysts and Oracle consultants to design technical processes, interpret outputs from Oracle Cloud Solutions and harden security and operational procedures, and it documented enhancements to system security and efficiency alongside on time and on budget delivery of key stabilization milestones.

In 2016, South East Water implemented Frontier Software Chris21 Payroll. South East Water deployed Frontier Software Chris21 Payroll to support core Payroll functions across the organisation, operating in Australia, and established a weekly payroll run covering more than 600 employees and centralised routine payroll administration.
Configuration focused on standard payroll modules including weekly payroll processing, leave management, casual timesheet processing, overtime and additional hours calculation aligned to the Enterprise Bargaining Agreement and awards. The system was used for processing changes to terms and conditions, pay adjustments, terminations, new starter setups and superannuation handling, alongside long service leave and other paid and unpaid leave types.
Operational capabilities extended to payroll reporting on weekly and monthly cycles, managing paid parental leave, WorkCover and child support workflows, and monthly superannuation processing with reconciliation activities tied to PAYG and payroll tax obligations. Payroll reporting and reconciliation tasks indicate integration points with statutory payment processes and internal finance controls without naming external systems.
Day to day governance included liaison with staff and management to resolve payroll queries via phone and email, and coordination of core payroll processes and approvals. Regular processing cadence and role based administration suggest configured user roles for payroll administrators and approvers to enforce control over pay adjustments and terminations.
The deployment of Frontier Software Chris21 Payroll sits squarely within the Payroll category and supported the HR and finance business functions responsible for compensation, statutory reporting and leave management. The implementation emphasized operational continuity through weekly runs, reconciliations and standardised workflows for common payroll events.

| IBM | Legacy | IBM Maximo Asset Performance Management | Asset Performance Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017 South East Water implemented IBM Maximo Asset Performance Management to accelerate maintenance reporting and improve customer service, deploying the solution as part of an Asset Performance Management initiative to support higher Service Incentive Mechanism scores. The deployment was explicitly designed to deliver rapid, visible responses to customer reported maintenance and repair issues and to provide operational teams with up to the minute status on work in the field.
The implementation combined IBM Maximo Asset Performance Management with IBM Maximo Asset Management Scheduler and a mobile workforce management solution built on IBM Mobile Foundation, enabling platform agnostic mobile apps for field contractors. South East Water upgraded its Maximo environment with assistance from IBM Business Partner Vetasi to prepare for the scheduler and mobile capabilities, and the mobile app was configured to support direct entry of service updates, photographic evidence, and schedule changes into Maximo.
Operational architecture routed near real time field updates from contractors through IBM Mobile Foundation into IBM Maximo Asset Performance Management, with data flows into the customer contact center, technical call center and cost controlling teams for immediate visibility. The rollout covered more than 80 engineering teams, the mobile platform was penetration tested prior to deployment to validate security, and application releases are pushed directly to contractor devices to simplify updates. On site images captured by contractors are stored in Maximo to support faster quality assurance and health and safety verification.
Governance and process changes centered on shifting contractors from paper to direct digital entry into Maximo, enabling faster validation of completed work and streamlined contractor invoicing and compliance checks. Outcomes reported by South East Water include 99 percent faster access to maintenance and repair reports, improved customer satisfaction scores, and strengthened prospects for future funding via the Service Incentive Mechanism. South East Water continues to develop IBM Maximo Asset Performance Management and its mobile app to support proactive customer communications and tighter operational control.
