Equifax Legacy Equifax I-9 Anywhere HR Compliance HCM n/a 2018 2018
In 2018, Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System implemented Equifax I-9 Anywhere for HR Compliance. The deployment centralized management of I-9 records and onboarding paperwork across the health system, establishing Equifax I-9 Anywhere as the primary tool for verifying employment eligibility and processing post hire documentation. Equifax I-9 Anywhere was configured to support applicant requirement determination by referencing job descriptions and job qualifications, and to govern maintenance and utilization workflows for Employment and Recruitment systems. Functional capabilities implemented included requisition maintenance and verification of department and position numbers per the Recruiters division, preparation and submission of onboarding and post hire paperwork including Equifax and E-Verify related steps, and organizationwide I-9 data stewardship. The implementation integrated with the organization’s Employment and Recruitment systems, including HCM, ATS, Agility, Assessment, Universal Online, and Onboarding, enabling data exchange and streamlined onboarding flows between applicant tracking, assessments, onboarding modules, and the Equifax I-9 Anywhere platform. Operational coverage explicitly spanned recruiters, employment specialists, and onboarding teams, and the system supported organizationwide I-9 record maintenance. Governance and operational controls included quarterly audits for I-9 accuracy, detailed analysis and reporting on request, and recruiter-led verification of requisitions to ensure correct department and position numbering. The program also tasked staff with proactively identifying opportunities to streamline processes and workflow within Employment and Recruitment, aligning system configuration and operational processes to HR Compliance requirements.

Epic Systems Legacy Epic ASAP Clinical Trial Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2016 2016
In 2016, Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System deployed Epic ASAP within its Clinical Trial Management footprint, initiating an Emergency Room centered implementation at the Center, TX site. The project included certified Epic superuser coverage for Epic ASAP and on-site Go Live ATE support during the Emergency Room Go Live period to stabilize clinical workflows and user adoption. The implementation focused on the Epic ASAP module with extensive configuration of end-user workspaces, including the Tool Bar, patient lists, and Navigator, and hands on customization of In-basket navigation and Smart Phrases. The team trained end users to create Smart Phrases that produced a decrease in closing encounters with a patient chart, and provided guidance on documenting and signing letters as well as acknowledging, verifying, and signing new orders. Operational coverage extended across clinical and non clinical staff in the Emergency Room, with targeted support for RNs and classroom based end-user training in the Epic EHR. Superuser activity included intermittent rounding to address end-user questions and to assist fellow superusers while ensuring compliance with established workflow processes and consistent application configuration. Governance and workflow restructuring were driven by superuser enablement and role based training, with emphasis on workspace standards, In-basket and Smart Phrase governance, and run book practices for ER operations. Epic ASAP was the focal application for these efforts, and ongoing superuser support from May 2016 to present sustained adoption and operational consistency.

Epic Systems Legacy Epic Caboodle (ex Cogito Data Warehouse) Data Warehouse Analytics and BI n/a 2016 2016
In 2016, Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System implemented Epic Caboodle (ex Cogito Data Warehouse) as a Data Warehouse to consolidate transactional billing data and support enterprise reporting across the health system. The deployment focused on integrating hospital and professional billing workflows into a central analytics store to support revenue cycle operations. Deployment activities were tightly coupled with the system-wide Epic rollout, with credentialed trainers delivering classroom and hands-on instruction for Cogito and Epic Resolute modules. Between March 2016 and October 2016 the program trained more than 250 students in Resolute Professional Billing, Hospital Billing, Single Billing Office, and Cogito, while training staff developed and updated course materials and curricula. Operational scope for Epic Caboodle included the central billing office, hospital billing units, the single billing office function, and revenue cycle teams, with go-live at-elbow support provided at the central billing office. Configuration emphasized data ingestion from Epic transactional modules, normalization of billing entities, and provisioning of subject area marts and reporting layers consistent with Data Warehouse architectures. Governance and sustainment were established through the trainer-led curriculum and classroom evaluation feedback, which reported consistently high scores, enabling knowledge transfer and operational readiness for billing and revenue cycle workflows. Epic Caboodle (ex Cogito Data Warehouse) was positioned to serve ongoing operational reporting, reconciliations, and analytics for Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System.
