In 2018, Spin Master implemented SAP S/4 HANA as part of an ERP Financial program. The initiative was driven by the Business Intelligence organization which led an enterprise transformation toward a data driven company, managing a hybrid team of full time SAP data and analytics professionals and business experts to deliver the analytics and reporting vision.
SAP S/4 HANA was configured to support core ERP Financial functions while a dedicated realtime operational reporting track was executed within the overall S/4 HANA deployment. The team defined technical data models and automation patterns to enable realtime extraction and replication of transactional finance events into analytics stores to support self service analytics and operational reporting workflows.
Transactional feeds from SAP S/4 HANA were directed into an Enterprise Data Platform to create a single source for finance and operational analytics, aligning the SAP S/4 HANA application with enterprise reporting layers. The technical architecture vision prioritized selection of components that enable data cataloging, governed data mart layers, and semantic models for finance and operational reporting across global operations.
Governance was centered on the head of Business Intelligence who owned the technical architecture vision and component selection, instituting cross functional workflows between finance and BI for the realtime reporting rollout. The scope explicitly connected Spin Master SAP S/4 HANA ERP Financial capabilities to finance and business intelligence functions, embedding enterprise analytics governance and self service enablement into the operating model.

The implementation integrated the careers site capture mechanisms with internal recruitment workflows so that inquiries and profiles captured via Phenom People flowed into Spin Master hiring channels and recruiter queues. Operational coverage centered on talent acquisition, recruiting teams, and hiring managers, with the Phenom Talent CRM instance acting as the primary system for candidate marketing and lifecycle orchestration.
Governance was established around campaign ownership, candidate data segmentation, and recruiter workflow handoffs, enabling structured cadence for nurturing and event follow up. The approach prioritized consistent employer brand presentation on the careers site and centralized management of engagement assets through Phenom Talent CRM, aligning recruitment marketing and sourcing operations under a single Candidate Relationship Management framework.
