In 2023, Springpoint Senior Living implemented Microsoft Dynamics GP as its ERP Financial system, deploying the solution across all 25 community sites with Intellitec Solutions as the systems integrator. The engagement addressed a corporate need for standardized general accounting and consolidated financial statements and budgeting across Springpoint Senior Living, a Princeton based not for profit that operates 25 senior communities serving more than 4,000 residents. The implementation purposefully centralized accounting configuration to support enterprise level consolidation while preserving community level transaction processing.
The solution combined standard Dynamics GP financial modules with customized elements, including a Consolidated Chart of Accounts that standardizes general accounting across all facilities, customized FRx reporting to aggregate data and accelerate financial reporting, and Microsoft Forecaster for budgeting and planning. A Safe Pay accounts payable module was implemented to send encrypted verification files to the bank for check verification, and web based purchase order approvals were configured to automate PO approval workflows and enforce payer controls. These modules automated check verification for accounts payable and online purchase order approvals, directly reducing redundant manual tasks in accounting and budgeting processes.
Operational integration included a systems integration between NetSmart for billing and Microsoft Dynamics GP for general accounting, implemented across all 25 Springpoint communities to link resident billing flows into enterprise accounting ledgers. The deployment design emphasized consolidated financial data flows, standardized chart of accounts mapping, and secure encrypted AP verification files exchanged with banking partners. Intellitec Solutions configured intersystem mappings and reporting rollups to support consolidated financial statements and streamlined budget inputs from each community.
Governance and process changes focused on standardization of workflows, centralized reporting cadence, and a repeatable onboarding process for new facilities. Springpoint restructured budget and reporting ownership to leverage Microsoft Forecaster outputs, freeing accounting staff from manual data reconciliation and enabling more time for analysis. Explicit outcomes stated by the client include saved time, elimination of redundant manual tasks, enhanced fraud protection through automated AP verification, better fiscal control via online PO approvals, improved flexibility in reporting and analysis, and an easier process to add financial operations for new facilities.
