In 2002, the State of Arizona implemented Infor Lawson Absence and Leave Management. The Department of Administration subsequently developed a formal project plan and timeline with the vendor to perform a two phase upgrade and cloud migration of the HRIS suite.
Phase one targeted the S3 core HR module and Lawson Talent Management, upgrading S3 from Version 9 to Version 10, and bringing Lawson Talent Management to Version 11, with the HRIS components migrated to the Infor SaaS CloudSuite. Phase two focused on finalizing the migration of Lawson Talent Management v11 for Benefits and leave Planning, consolidating Benefits and Absence Management workflows under the updated platform.
The implementation centers on HRIS, Benefits administration, and leave planning business functions, supporting a statewide employee population of approximately 37,040. The Infor Lawson Absence and Leave Management deployment and its movement to Infor SaaS CloudSuite were scoped to operate across State of Arizona HR and benefits processes, aligning absence management workflows with talent and benefits modules.
Governance followed a two phase rollout schedule, with Phase 1 planned from March to December 2018 and Phase 2 from late January to August 2019, and included vendor collaboration on project planning and timelines. The planned migration and version upgrades were intended to bring the software into a Mainstream Support state.
