In 2016, Maryland.gov implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, replacing KPMG R*STARS to address core ERP Financial requirements. Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations was deployed to consolidate finance and operations management across Maryland.gov and to provide a unified application platform for state financial workflows. The implementation focused on standard ERP Financial functional modules, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, procurement, budgeting and fixed assets, configured to support government accounting and operational controls.
