Oracle Legacy Oracle e-Business Suite Accounts Payable AP Automation ERP Financial Management n/a 2016 2016
In 2016 State Street implemented Oracle e-Business Suite Accounts Payable as part of an Oracle Applications 11i to R12 12.2.4 upgrade to address AP Automation needs within its finance organization. The engagement covered core financial modules including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets and i-Expenses, and extended to Project Accounting rate schedule conversion work. Implementation work emphasized techno-functional alignment, with R12 GAP analysis produced for RICE objects and end-to-end business process mapping across standard and customized modules. Configuration and automation activities included design and development of a program to convert Bill Rate Schedules for Project Accounting and creation of a Lock-box interface in the AR module, supporting invoice orchestration, payment processing, and employee expense capture consistent with AP Automation workflows. The technical architecture was an Oracle Applications 11i to R12 upgrade path culminating on R12 12.2.4, with environment handoffs and unit testing performed for each identified business process. Integration testing included analysis and validation of interfaces with third parties and existing in-house systems, and unit testing cycles were executed to validate data conversion and interface stability. Governance and rollout followed structured validation cycles, including CRP1 and CRP2 testing with issue trackers and SME sign-off, followed by full UAT cycles and formal training and practice sessions. Deliverables centered on test scripts, defect tracking, and training materials while consultants assisted in developing and testing software applications to support the Oracle e-Business Suite Accounts Payable deployment within State Street’s AP Automation scope.

Sterling Talent Solutions Legacy Sterling Background Check BackGround Screening HCM n/a 2018 2018
In 2018, State Street implemented Sterling Background Check as part of a broader Talent Acquisition modernization effort. The deployment targeted BackGround Screening functionality to centralize and automate candidate screening within the recruiting and onboarding lifecycle. The Sterling Background Check implementation standardized screening workflows and automated background check ordering and adjudication, aligning screening tasks with onboarding orchestration. Configuration work included mapping screening triggers to hiring events, building role-based screening rules, and establishing evidence capture and reporting workflows to support compliance and auditability. The implementation was positioned to support candidate lifecycle handoffs and to reduce manual work in screening administration. The project was executed in concert with related third-party services, with Equifax services including WOTC, I9 Service, and Work Number used for employment verifications. Sterling Talent Solutions partnered with a Background Check Provider to automate background checks and the program was coordinated alongside State Street’s Workday-era talent initiatives to ensure process alignment across systems. Operational coverage began with a North America centralized onboarding model that was leveraged to inform a global rollout approach. Governance and operationalization included global training, process documentation updates, user acceptance testing with logged defect remediation, and monthly talent acquisition operating meetings with third-party vendors to enforce controls. The rollout supported Talent Acquisition, Global HR, Global Security, Compensation, and ethics functions through standardized screening policy enforcement and operating procedures. State Street reported centralized onboarding outcomes including decreased time to hire, improved compliance posture, and higher client and candidate satisfaction following the transition.

LeaseCalcs Legacy LeaseCalcs Lease Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2018 2018
In 2018, State Street implemented LeaseCalcs, deploying the LeaseCalcs application as its Lease Management platform. LeaseCalcs lists State Street as a customer on its website, confirming vendor acknowledgement of the engagement. The implementation targeted centralized control over lease portfolios and contract inventories to support enterprise lease accounting and ongoing contract oversight. State Street LeaseCalcs Lease Management was positioned to serve corporate finance and accounting functions responsible for leased real estate and equipment portfolios. The deployment incorporated standard Lease Management capabilities, including a lease accounting engine for right of use asset and lease liability calculations, amortization schedules, automated journal entry generation, and disclosure reporting for ASC 842 and IFRS 16 compliance. The configuration work focused on contract abstraction, indexed payment schedules, remeasurement workflows, and configurable reporting outputs to feed period close processes. LeaseCalcs was configured to enforce consistent lease classification and remeasurement rules across the captured portfolio. Operational integration centered on connecting LeaseCalcs to enterprise finance systems, using interfaces to feed general ledger and ERP platforms and to harmonize chart of accounts mappings, tax coding, and period close data. The rollout covered finance, lease administration, and real estate teams responsible for lease maintenance and accounting, enabling centralized lease data and a single system of record for contractual terms. Role based access controls and audit trails were applied to support segregation of duties and compliance monitoring across corporate entities. Governance changes emphasized standardized lease accounting workflows, formalized approval gates for contract amendments, and documented reconciliation steps between LeaseCalcs and financial ledgers. Implementation work included defining owner responsibilities for lease capture, periodic remeasurement, and month end posting procedures to ensure consistent accounting practices. The configuration and governance approach aligned LeaseCalcs with State Street business functions in finance and accounting while maintaining an auditable lease management process.
