IBM Legacy IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management ERP Services and Operations Sinorfi 2012 2012
In 2012, STEG implemented IBM Maximo as its Enterprise Asset Management solution, engaging Sinorfi to lead consultation and deployment. Sinorfi managed onboarding, upgrade paths, expansion projects and external application integration as part of the engagement for STEG in Tunisia. The IBM Maximo deployment incorporated core energy and utilities modules, including Maximo for Utilities, Maximo for Linear Assets, Maximo Spatial and Maximo Scheduler. Functional capabilities implemented included mobile workforce enablement, Compatible Unit Estimation CUE, crew management, workforce skills and certifications tracking, and support for fixed asset accounting integration, reflecting typical Enterprise Asset Management workflows for asset lifecycle and workforce management. Architecturally, the implementation centralized asset and labor records into a single-platform IBM Maximo database to consolidate multiple labor and asset management solutions across business units. Spatial enablement through GIS integration and mobile access were configured to support transmission, distribution, power generation, water and wastewater, fleet and facilities asset domains, and the project scope included integration points with external applications as part of expansion planning. Governance and rollout were delivered through Sinorfi consultancy services with phased onboarding and upgrade governance, emphasizing standardized processes for crew dispatch, maintenance scheduling and certification compliance. The engagement positioned IBM Maximo to consolidate disparate asset systems and maintain critical assets and resources at peak efficiency, outcomes explicitly described in the implementation materials.
