Intapp Legacy IntApp Open Business Process Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2020 2020
In 2020, Sullivan & Cromwell implemented IntApp Open as a Business Process Management platform to centralize new business intake, conflicts screening, and terms management. The deployment focused on the firm’s risk and compliance workflows for evaluating new engagements and onboarding clients. The implementation centered on IntApp Open modules Intake, Conflicts, and Terms, configured to capture structured matter intake data, execute conflicts searches against internal client and matter records, and automate generation and routing of engagement terms. Configuration emphasized standardized intake questionnaires, template-driven terms creation, role-based approval gates, and automated conflict checking to accelerate decisioning while preserving auditability. IntApp Open was positioned to support front-office intake, conflicts resolution, and client onboarding activities and operates alongside Thomson Reuters Elite 3E, which the firm uses for accounting and financial reporting. Operational scope included the firm’s risk and compliance team, intake coordinators, business development, and legal operations across the firm’s United States offices. Governance and workflow restructuring accompanied the deployment, with centrally managed intake forms, defined conflict clearance authorities, audit trails for conflict searches, and standardized terms negotiation processes. These measures formalized intake governance and provided compliance teams with consistent workflows for evaluating and onboarding new matters.
