Oracle Legacy Oracle E-Business Suite ERP Financial ERP n/a 2017 2017
In 2017, Summit Utilities implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as its ERP Financial platform. The program targeted core transactional finance capabilities to support Accounting, Payroll, Customer Service, and Operations teams across the organization. The Oracle E-Business Suite deployment covered standard ERP Financial functional areas including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, cash management, and payroll interfacing, with configuration and extensions to meet utility-specific workflows. Custom Windows desktop applications were developed to augment E-Business Suite functionality, built using MVVM, C#, Entity Framework, LINQ, and Oracle SQL, to provide role-specific screens and batch processing for accounting and operations teams. Integrations were explicitly implemented with third-party systems used by Summit Utilities, including ADP via its Time Entry and Worker APIs for payroll data exchange, Cayenta for customer relationship management workflows, and PowerPlan for utility capital and asset accounting processes. Integration patterns combined API-based exchanges with database-level interactions between Oracle SQL and Microsoft SQL Server to synchronize transactional and master data across systems. Governance and operational support were run by internal application and systems analysts who created, refactored, and supported applications tied to the Oracle E-Business Suite rollout, ensuring ongoing alignment between ERP Financial processes and downstream systems. The internal team played a key role in implementation and post-go-live support, embedding Oracle E-Business Suite into Summit Utilities business functions without external system integrator attribution.

ADP Legacy ADP Payroll Payroll HCM n/a 2017 2017
Summit Utilities implemented ADP Payroll in 2017 to establish a centralized payroll capability. The ADP Payroll deployment supported core Payroll processing and time entry workflows across Finance, Payroll, Customer Service, and Operations for the company’s approximately 300 employees in the United States. The technical implementation centered on API driven integration, leveraging ADP Payroll Time Entry and Worker APIs for automated worker record and timesheet synchronization. Internal development produced .NET integration services and WPF desktop applications using C#, EntityFramework, LINQ, Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle SQL to orchestrate data flows between internal systems and ADP Payroll. The ADP Payroll instance was connected into broader enterprise applications, with implementation work coordinated alongside Oracle EBS, Cayenta customer systems, and PowerPlan financial modules to enable accounting and payroll reconciliation. Operational coverage focused on Accounting and Payroll teams, ensuring worker and time data exchanged via APIs supported payroll runs and downstream financial posting. Implementation ownership was retained by internal systems analysts and .NET developers who created and supported the integration layer and desktop tools, embedding API based controls and application level validation for worker and time data across systems.
