Functional configuration emphasized inventory management and purchase order management, with documented purchasing information maintained inside Epicor ERP to ensure detailed and accurate transaction records. The team analyzed inventory usage and assessed trends inside the system to provide maximum coverage for individual jobs and projects, and used Epicor ERP procurement capabilities to maintain key item stock levels via purchase orders across a supplier base of over 200 vendors.
Operational coverage included purchasing, supplier management, warehouse and logistics coordination, and shipping preparation. Staff tracked inventory shipments and prepared spreadsheets to support logistic transitions, prepared packages for shipment and coordinated pickup and courier services for prompt customer delivery, while also developing account relationships and negotiating vendor policies and contracts to secure pricing and availability.
Governance centered on PO-driven stocking controls and documented procurement records in Epicor ERP, enabling consistent vendor contract application and inventory replenishment discipline from December 2016 through July 2020. The deployment of Epicor ERP supported procurement transparency and supplier management, and contributed to improved vendor availability and timelier customer shipments as described in operational notes.
