| SAP | Legacy | SAP Business ByDesign | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | InCloud Solutions | 2018 | 2018 | In 2018, TasteTech implemented SAP Business ByDesign as its cloud-based ERP Financial platform to consolidate ordering, purchasing and core operational workflows. The project was delivered in partnership with InCloud Solutions and targeted the company headquarters and production operations in Bristol, aligning system configuration to the needs of a family run manufacturer of controlled-release food flavourings. The implementation configured SAP Business ByDesign modules for finance and project management, with manufacturing and sales functionality enabled to support production planning, inventory control and order-to-cash processes. Configuration work emphasized traceability and accurate labelling within the manufacturing and inventory workflows, supporting British food safety standards and client non-disclosure requirements. Technically the deployment used a single cloud tenant model, consolidating multiple disparate ordering and purchasing tools into the SAP Business ByDesign environment to centralize transactional data and process orchestration. Integrations focused on end-to-end process continuity within the platform, unifying procurement, production scheduling, inventory movements and distribution workflows under one system of record. Governance and process changes were driven by operational owners including the supply chain function, enabling faster checks, more accurate labelling, and simplified product lifecycle updates as new SKUs were added. InCloud Solutions provided implementation and configuration expertise, working with TasteTech to embed role-based controls and procedural workflows that reinforce traceability and compliance in manufacturing operations. Outcomes reported include faster operational checks, improved labelling accuracy, greater transparency and control across production and distribution, and significant cost savings from reducing three separate systems into a single SAP Business ByDesign instance. TasteTech plans to continue using SAP Business ByDesign as it pursues paperless operations and scales product offerings while maintaining food safety and customer confidentiality. |
