In 2021 TDM BERHAD upgraded its finance platform to Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as the groupwide ERP Financial system, initiating a cloud migration to standardize finance and accounting across the TDM Group of companies. The procurement and scope required the supply and deployment of the cloud version of Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, including software, user licenses, implementation services, and ongoing support, with an explicit objective to replace Microsoft Dynamics AX 4, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 and other disparate finance and accounting systems.
The implementation focused on core finance modules typical of ERP Financial deployments, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, cash management, and consolidated financial reporting. Configuration work emphasized multi-entity financial structures and intercompany accounting to support group consolidation, and standardization of the chart of accounts and financial close workflows to create a single finance and accounting platform for the TDM Group of companies.
Architecturally the project established a cloud tenant for Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations and encompassed data migration activities from Microsoft Dynamics AX 4 and Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 as well as migration from other finance systems identified in the scope. Migration and cutover workstreams covered master data migration, transactional history conversion, and reconciliation controls to ensure continuity of accounting records during the move to the cloud platform.
Governance and organizational change management were explicit requirements, with the solution provider expected to deliver professional services and change management capabilities to align finance teams across the group. The program impacted finance and accounting functions across TDM Group companies and included provisions for ongoing support and post go live stabilization under the Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations deployment.

Cloudflare CDN was provisioned to cache static assets at the edge and to route HTTPS traffic through Cloudflare's network, centralizing public web delivery and reducing origin request exposure.
Deployment operated at the DNS and HTTP layer for the public site tdmberhad.com.my, with configuration focused on edge caching policies, SSL/TLS termination, HTTP compression, and cache control headers to optimize delivery. Operational scope was confined to external-facing web content and website availability, with web and IT personnel managing DNS delegation, certificate lifecycle, and cache purges.
