Ramco Systems Legacy Ramco ERP ERP Financial ERP n/a 2014 2018
In 2014, Terengganu Silica Consortium Sdn. Bhd. implemented Ramco ERP as an ERP Financial solution. The deployment centralized core finance functions, including preparation of consolidated budgets for the fiscal year, monthly and annual financial and cost reports, and forecasted cashflow for the high purity silica project. Ramco ERP was configured to support budgeting and management reporting, accounts payable and receivable administration, payment processing, petty cash controls, journal posting and reconciliations, and a Fixed Asset Register for the high purity silica project. The implementation established both Financial and Management reporting framework in Ramco ERP and formalized standard operating procedures for the finance department covering payable and receivable administration, payment administration, petty cash administration, journals and reporting and reconciliation. Operational ownership sat with the finance department, which used Ramco ERP to prepare statutory filings including annual returns, tax returns, audited accounts and GST returns, and to prepare agenda and present financial accounts at Board meetings. The rollout included training and guidance for finance staff on regulatory changes such as corporation tax and GST, aligning operational processes and controls with the Ramco ERP configuration. The finance team leveraged Ramco ERP outputs to underpin capital planning and external financing activities, preparing a comprehensive capital expenditure breakdown and a financial feasibility study for the high purity silica project, and securing equity and hire purchase financing and Bank Negara Malaysia approval for foreign currency borrowing. The organization also obtained 10 years pioneer status from MIDA and secured refunds from the Royal Malaysian Customs Department in respect of GST, outcomes supported by the reporting and control frameworks implemented in Ramco ERP.

In 2015, Terengganu Silica Consortium Sdn. Bhd. implemented Ramco HCM as a Core HR deployment. The engagement covered the full project life cycle with Kick-off, Development, User Acceptance Test, Go-Live and post Go-Live support executed in December 2015. The implementation emphasized tailoring and streamlining the base product business processes to match the companys HR operating model, with project scope and client requirements interpreted in close collaboration with Business Analysts. The team developed custom stored procedures and operational reports using MS SQL Server and completed unit testing for each deliverable prior to UAT. Governance centered on iterative validation during UAT and a structured handover into sustained support, with the Technical Support Level 1 role embedded into post Go-Live procedures and cross-functional communication channels. The work reflects a web application implementation pattern with database-driven reporting, configuration of core HR workflows and an operational support model to sustain HR operations.
