In 2015, The Babcock & Wilcox Company implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as its ERP Financial application across the enterprise. The initiative was positioned as an enterprise ERP Financial deployment and coordinated with parallel Oracle products, including Oracle HCM and Oracle Hyperion, to unify core financial, HR and planning capabilities.
The implementation included a managed application support group comprising application administration, development and business analyst roles. The team was coached and led across multiple technology stacks, including Java, .NET, HTML, JavaScript, SQL and various reporting tools, while Oracle E-Business Suite configuration work focused on financial modules, integrations and reporting workflows. Oracle SOA Suite was implemented as an Enterprise API layer to standardize integration patterns and control integration costs.
Operational integration work covered over 100 external integrations for treasury, HR and benefits, financial and intercompany relationships, using Managed File Transfer (MFT), Oracle SOA Suite and Web Service tools and resources. The program delivered a rapid multi-location Oracle integration project across several sites in four months, and the client services team brought three domestic and international sites online during an acquisition. Enterprise integration leadership spanned Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle HCM and Oracle Hyperion product streams.
Governance and lifecycle responsibilities were centralized under an IT Application Rationalization Lead role, with accountability for a 4 million dollar IT budget, and for software licensing, maintenance and renewals for more than 40 applications. A Tactical Governance Committee was created to govern enhancement requests using Agile methodology, and program leadership served on the Technical Review Board to approve medium to high impact technology decisions. Oracle E-Business Suite remained the core ERP Financial system within a managed roadmap for both custom and off the shelf line of business applications.

In 2016, The Babcock & Wilcox Company implemented Oracle Cloud HCM as its Core HR application. The effort operated within an environment that included Fusion HCM, Oracle Apps R12, Forms and Reports 10g, and Oracle SOA, with project leadership and EBS development activity based in Charlotte, SC from January 2016 through December 2016.
The implementation delivered Oracle Cloud HCM functionality through HCM Extracts, HCM Data Loader HDL for bulk employee loads, BI Publisher reports and OTBI reporting, and bespoke conversion logic. Development work included an Employee Conversion Program and an Employee Interface Program to populate Fusion HCM records, plus a custom API for the Accounts Payable module to convert employee records to supplier records, supporting Core HR data onboarding and interface orchestration.
Integrations explicitly tied Oracle Cloud HCM to Oracle R12 HRMS components including iExpense and to Oracle EBIS interfaces, with the project scope covering HR and AP functional workflows. The team lead managed onshore resources and coordinated offshore delivery, while engaging process and functional stakeholders to capture requirements and schedule functional design document walkthroughs.
Governance and delivery controls included review of technical design documents, code and unit test plans, daily status reporting for new developments and change requests, and knowledge sharing sessions on coding standards and new technologies. Oracle Cloud HCM served as the Core HR backbone for employee data conversion, reporting, and HR to AP interface automation.
