In 2009 Federal Bank India implemented Oracle PeopleSoft HCM as its Core HR platform to centralize HR, payroll and benefits processing across consumer and commercial banking operations. The production stack cited PeopleSoft HRMS 8.9 on PeopleTools 8.46, with Oracle 9i databases and a mix of Windows NT and Unix servers supporting application and batch workloads.
The implementation covered HR, Base Benefits, Payroll, Provident Fund, Travel and Allowances, Expenses, Pension and Disciplinary functional modules, with significant customization of Components, Pages, Records, Fields and Process Definitions. Technical development used Application Designer and PeopleCode, Application Engine for batch processing, Process Scheduler for job orchestration and PS-Query for operational reporting, while complex XML reports were developed to satisfy bank reporting requirements.
The deployment architecture included multiple application servers, batch servers and web servers managed through PeopleSoft Internet Architecture, along with database installation, DB refresh and cloning and PeopleSoft project migration activities using STAT. Operational responsibilities also included basic Unix and shell scripting for administration, managing Process Scheduler jobs and coordinating batch payroll runs.
Governance and rollout actions registered configuration artifacts in the Portal, menus and permission lists to enforce role based access for HR and payroll teams, and followed cycles of development, testing and enhancement to support day to day HR operations. Oracle PeopleSoft HCM was implemented to serve Federal Bank India Core HR needs, providing a unified platform for HR administration, payroll processing and statutory payroll components.

In 2012 Federal Bank implemented Infosys Finacle two factor authentication as an enhancement to its Core Banking environment, bringing strengthened authentication to retail and corporate Internet banking channels. The deployment centralized Finacle enabled security functions within the bank’s e banking front end to provide mutual strong authentication between the bank and end users across online transaction flows.
The implementation delivered a Finacle two factor authentication module that supported multiple form factors including hardware token, software credential CA ArcotID, and one time password capabilities, and incorporated Public Key Infrastructure soft credentials and dynamic passcodes. Configuration focused on transparent user login flows and credential lifecycle management to balance security and user experience within the Finacle application stack.
Technically the project integrated Finacle with CA Technologies authentication components, including CA AuthMinder formerly CA Arcot WebFort Versatile Authentication Server and CA ArcotID soft credential, to provide an integrated authentication server, PKI handling, and OTP generation. The scope explicitly covered both retail and corporate Internet banking channels, enabling consistent authentication policies across those online channels while interfacing with existing Finacle account and transaction services.
Governance centered on a strategic partnership model between Federal Bank, Infosys and CA Technologies to manage rollout, configuration controls, and operational support for authentication services. Reported outcomes included a strengthened security framework that protects customers against phishing, man in the middle, brute force and replay attacks, and an enhanced user login experience through Finacle supported two factor authentication.

In 2018, Federal Bank India deployed Oracle Analytics Cloud in an Analytics and BI initiative integrated with Oracle Autonomous Database and Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse. The implementation centralized customer analytics across branch and mobile channels, delivering management access to consolidated customer intelligence to inform product and channel decisions.
Oracle Analytics Cloud was configured to deliver enterprise dashboards, self service reporting, data visualization, and embedded analytics workflows, with data ingestion and storage handled by Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse. Machine learning capabilities in Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse were applied to accelerate query execution and to operationalize predictive segmentation models for customer analytics.
The architecture paired Oracle Analytics Cloud as the analytics and presentation layer with Oracle Autonomous Database as a self driving database layer, providing stability, security, and performance for regulated financial data. Data pipelines consolidated transactional, branch, and mobile application data to create a single customer view that supports retail product management, pricing decisions, and targeted campaign workflows.
Governance focused on enabling business managers with ready access to actionable reports and dashboards, reducing reliance on ad hoc IT queries. Reported outcomes from the deployment included reducing query time from hours to minutes, machine learning in the Autonomous Data Warehouse halving the time for certain customer queries, and a doubling of conversion rates for targeted offers.
