Oracle Legacy Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Manufacturing Management Manufacturing Execution System ERP Services and Operations n/a 2020 2020
In 2020, The Shaw Group implemented Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Manufacturing Management as its Manufacturing Execution System to support manufacturing operations, shop floor control, and job costing. The Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Manufacturing Management deployment was scoped to align manufacturing workflows with financial and inventory processes across production and costing functions. The implementation encompassed JDE E1 Manufacturing, Shop Floor, and Job Cost modules, with functional coverage extending to AR, AP, and GL financials, and Inventory and Distribution. Configuration work included creating menus and versions, setting processing options, developing UDO constructs such as Watchlist, E1 Pages, Orchestrator solutions, advanced queries, BIP output templates, E1 batch applications, and E1 interactive applications. Integrations were executed inside the JDE environment using SQL queries, data extracts, and data loading routines to link manufacturing transactions to finance and inventory ledgers, and the program supported upgrade, migration, and integration activities as required. Reporting and analytics were enabled through BIP outputs and data extracts with PowerBI noted as a beneficial downstream visualization capability, and the solution operated across manufacturing, finance, distribution, and shop floor teams. Governance centered on a JDE Business Analyst acting as the techno functional lead, collecting business requirements, performing feasibility analysis, writing functional specifications, preparing test data, and documenting business processes and user manuals. Change control and rollout practices included preparing test plans, executing unit and integration testing including CRP and iCRP, creating and promoting versions to production, and coordinating training and issue resolution between end users and technical analysts.
