Workday Legacy Workday Professional Services Automation (PSA) Professional Services Automation ERP Services and Operations n/a 2019 2019
In 2019 Toast implemented Workday Professional Services Automation (PSA) as part of its People & Places Talent Operations, positioning the Workday Professional Services Automation (PSA) deployment within the companys HR Technology Operations organization to support HR, Financials, Benefits and Payroll data flows. The implementation aligns with the Professional Services Automation category and is managed from a shared services model that includes an HR Integrations Developer embedded in the People team and reporting into Sr Manager HR Systems and dotted line into in-country HR Shared Services. Configuration and functional scope centered on integration engineering, reporting, and security for the Workday Professional Services Automation (PSA) footprint, with detailed integration specifications, field mappings, and lifecycle delivery processes. Teams used Workday integration tooling including Enterprise Interface Builder, Cloud Connect, Core Connector, and Workday Studio, and adopted Workato for automation where appropriate, while building advanced reports, dashboards, calculated fields and configurable security to support self-service analytics and operational HR workflows. Operational responsibilities covered end-to-end data flow design and root cause analysis for inbound and outbound integrations, creation and maintenance of integrations between Workday and internal Toast systems as well as external vendors, and the production of ad-hoc and advanced reporting to serve talent operations and business stakeholders. Security workstreams included design and maintenance of administrator, segmented, aggregation and intersection security groups to support supervisory and location-based access models across the organization. Governance emphasis included driving major Workday releases with comprehensive adoption and regression testing plans, prioritizing an integration, security and reporting roadmap, and operating within a SOX compliant control environment. The program combined technical integration ownership with process and HR service center procedure development in a global, matrixed organization, with the HR Integrations Developer responsible for marrying systems architecture with operational HR and finance requirements.
