| SAP | Legacy | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | ERP Financial | ERP | IBM | 2011 | 2012 |
In 2011, Tomago Aluminium implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its ERP Financial platform. The implementation supported continuous 24/7 aluminium smelting operations and centralized business functions including warehouse management for spare parts, payroll, procurement, human resources and finance.
The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 deployment incorporated ERP modules for logistics, finance, sales and warehousing, and was complemented by SAP Business Warehouse powered by SAP HANA and SAP Fiori for mobile and plant-facing user interfaces. Configuration work emphasized consolidation onto Red Hat operating systems and virtualization with IBM PowerVM to host multiple SAP workloads and reduce operational silos.
The environment was operated as an on-premises private cloud integrating IBM Power Systems H924 servers, IBM flash storage, IBM Spectrum storage software and storage area networks to provide software defined replication and backup. Operational coverage included IT, finance, procurement, HR and plant operations across the smelting facility, enabling rapid spare parts location and recovery workflows critical to uninterrupted production; Advent One and IBM Lab Services performed operating system installation and configuration as part of the delivery.
Governance and rollout were executed under an accelerated timeline, with IBM Lab Services and Advent One deploying the integrated infrastructure and handing systems to the SAP team in six days. Tomago documented a 75 percent performance improvement compared to its prior public cloud platform, a six day installation time instead of weeks, and 66 percent faster end of month report processing in finance, outcomes that supported greater operational visibility and resilience for continuous smelting operations.

In 2015, Tomago Aluminium deployed JobAdder ATS as its Applicant Tracking System. The implementation placed JobAdder ATS on the company careers site to centralize external hiring and capture candidate applications for its manufacturing operations in Australia.
JobAdder ATS was configured to publish vacancies to the careers page, capture resumes and application data, maintain a searchable candidate database, and enforce applicant tracking workflows from requisition through interview stages. Functional capabilities applied align with standard Applicant Tracking System features, including candidate status tracking, pipeline management, interview scheduling support, and recruiter-driven hiring pipelines to support Talent Acquisition and HR business functions.
The deployment routed incoming applications from the careers page directly into recruiter queues within JobAdder ATS, enabling hiring managers across functions to review and progress candidates through defined stages. Governance and operational ownership were assigned to HR and Talent Acquisition, focusing on vacancy management, candidate data retention and role based access control within JobAdder ATS.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Plant Maintenance (PM) | Plant Maintenance | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017 Tomago Aluminium deployed SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Plant Maintenance (PM) to formalize site maintenance and rotables workflows within its Plant Maintenance environment. The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Plant Maintenance (PM) implementation focused on supporting maintenance planning, work order management, and rotables tracking for the Tomago, New South Wales site.
Configuration work concentrated on Plant Maintenance capabilities tightly coupled with materials management processes. Customised transactions were developed for rotables management that required cross-functional understanding of PM and MM, and the Inventory Controller served as the primary business contact for MM and WM functionality and user training. The deployment also incorporated K2 to streamline user experience, introduce stronger user authority controls, and automate approval and accountability workflows.
Integrations explicitly included SAP MM and WM to manage spare parts inventory, on-site warehousing, and procurement touchpoints. The implementation engaged vendors to explore consignment stock and vendor held stock models as part of inventory management and working capital initiatives, maintaining operational coverage across warehouse, inventory control, procurement and maintenance teams at the Tomago site.
Governance and rollout were executed with onsite IT, SAP consultants, and a designated site SAP PM key user, with the Inventory Controller operating as first point of contact for stakeholder requests and training. Process workstreams emphasized enhancement of customised PM/MM transactions and the introduction of K2-driven process controls to increase user accountability and standardize maintenance to inventory handoffs.
