Oracle Legacy Oracle e-Business Suite Accounts Receivable AR Automation ERP n/a 2015 2015
In 2015 Toray Group Malaysia implemented Oracle e-Business Suite Accounts Receivable as part of an AR Automation deployment supporting its Order to Cash and Supply Chain operations in the Penang production environment. The implementation focused on Accounts Receivable functional workflows while operating inside a broader Oracle EBS footprint that included Order Management and Inventory processes. The work included configuration and key setups across Oracle e-Business Suite Accounts Receivable and related modules, with hands on configuration of Order Management OM, Inventory INV, Warehouse WMS, Purchasing and Receiving. Key technical constructs implemented included Flexfields, Organization setup, Inventory Parameters, unit of measure UOM definitions, subinventories, stock locators, item attribute control, item templates and transaction type setup, plus use of the Inventory Item Open Interface to load master items. Integrations centered on transactional and master data flows between OM, AR, INV and WMS within Oracle EBS, and an outbound interface that extracted item category assignments and product attributes from the Product Information Management system PIM. The program involved ongoing production support, coordination with third party vendors and end users, scheduling and monitoring request sets for periodic jobs, and application of performance tuning and patching when required to stabilize business operations. Governance and delivery used AIM methodology artifacts including BRD, MD 50, MD 70, MD 120 and DO 60, together with formal testing documentation to drive deployments and support. As a functional implementation the initiative delivered functional conversions and data conversion utilities to populate Oracle ERP Inventory and Order Management structures, while organizational coverage emphasized Order to Cash, inventory control, procurement and warehouse operations.
