Functional capabilities implemented included ticket and exception report processing, workflows for exchanges, voids and refunds, and mechanisms to record negotiated group airline discounts for meeting travel. The configuration emphasized automated expense capture tied to booking records and exception handling consistent with Expense Management practices.
Integrations and operational coverage included use of Sabre for executive reservations and active collaboration with a Travel Management Company to ensure corporate travel policy enforcement and traveler compliance with booking procedures. Operational scope spanned Travel and Meetings operations, Executive Management travel services, and Finance teams responsible for monthly ticket reconciliation and exception reporting. The deployment prioritized event centric booking volumes and ongoing monthly ticket and exception report processing.
Governance and workflow changes formalized roles for onsite convention liaisons, a travel operations lead responsible for exchanges and refunds, and finance reviewers for ticket reporting, creating structured approval and exception workflows within SAP Concur Expense. Training programs and monthly governance routines were established to drive Concur adoption and to align travel booking controls with Expense Management processes.
