| Workday | Legacy | Workday Absence Management | Absence and Leave Management | HCM | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018, Total Quality Logistics implemented Workday Absence Management to centralize and standardize leave processing across its HR organization. Workday Absence Management was deployed as the firm’s Absence and Leave Management application to manage leave intake, documentation workflows, and employee communications related to time away from work.
Configuration emphasized end to end absence request handling, case tracking for individual leave events, documentation capture and retention, and checklist driven processing to meet time sensitive requirements. Administrators were responsible for applying critical interpretation to recommend how leave issues should be handled in compliance with applicable laws and company policies, and for responding to employee questions about leave and benefits as part of benefits servicing operations.
The implementation operated in close coordination with the Benefits team and broader HR staff, and extended into new hire orientation where benefit plans and enrollment guidelines were communicated. Operational coverage included auditing monthly claims data from various vendors, which was processed alongside internal benefits workflows to support case resolution and benefits eligibility reviews.
Governance and process controls centered on strict confidentiality for Protected Health Information, adherence to standardized checklists for time sensitive document routing, and role based ownership for benefits coordination. Ongoing administration duties included servicing leave of absence cases, resolving benefit issues in collaboration with Benefits and HR teams, and maintaining audit trails for monthly vendor claims data.

| Broadcom | Legacy | AppWorx Workload Automation | Business Process Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2012 | 2012 |
In 2012 Total Quality Logistics implemented AppWorx Workload Automation to centralize Business Process Management for enterprise batch scheduling and workload orchestration supporting transportation operations and IT operations. AppWorx Workload Automation was positioned to provide an audited job catalog, centralized scheduling authority, and event driven orchestration for time and dependency based processes across the company.
The implementation emphasized core workload automation modules including job scheduling, calendar and dependency management, event triggers, and retry and alerting policies consistent with Business Process Management functionality. Configuration work focused on orchestrating SQL Server maintenance jobs, SSIS package executions, ETL batch workloads, and backup windows to align with the existing database administration practices at TQL. Job definitions were standardized, alerts and retry policies were created, and scheduling logic was documented to support the 24x7 production on call model used by DBAs.
Architecturally the deployment was run in the on premise datacenter and integrated with the companys clustered SQL Server estate and high availability configurations that the DBA team maintained. Orchestration workflows were mapped to existing operational processes for backups, restores, and database maintenance including procedures for log shipping and clustering awareness. The implementation also formalized interfaces between workload automation and operational monitoring and ticketing processes used by the infrastructure and database teams.
Governance was established through standardized runbooks, role based job ownership, and release coordination between development, DBA, and operations teams to control changes to scheduled workflows. The deployment oriented AppWorx Workload Automation toward Business Process Management for database and batch operations, centralizing job control while preserving granular permissioning and documented operational procedures.
