In 2015, TPG Telecom implemented AMEX Global Business Travel as its corporate platform within the Travel Management category. The engagement focused on delivering the finance portion of a corporate travel program and upgrading the enterprise booking platform to meet TPG financial control requirements.
The AMEX Global Business Travel implementation included a booking platform upgrade and SSO authentication configuration, alongside configured reporting and data synchronization capabilities. Core Travel Management workflows were aligned to finance processes, including booking approval routing and reconciliation touchpoints to support Oracle-based financial posting.
The deployment integrated AMEX Global Business Travel with Oracle Fusion for finance reconciliation, connected to ANZ Conferma as part of payment and booking control processes, and synchronized reporting via Snap+ for consolidated data flows. Cross functional stakeholders from Finance, IT, and PE were engaged to validate end-to-end booking, payment, and reporting flows as part of the rollout.
Governance and rollout used Finance PMO style project control procedures, change control, and operational handover to finance and travel operations teams, supported by SOP development and training. Related finance transformation workstreams documented an internal training program that upskilled offshore finance managers and increased delivery success by 15% across Fin Ops functions, and business case activity targeted continuous improvement of the Amex GBT customer experience upgrade project.
