In 2022, Transocean Offshore implemented Oracle Cloud ERP and transitioned from Oracle PeopleSoft ERP. The Oracle Cloud ERP deployment focused on ERP Financial functions and centralizing core accounting processes across the organization.
Implementation work centered on standard ERP Financial modules including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets and cash management, with configuration to support intercompany accounting and financial close orchestration. The team emphasized adapting Oracle Cloud ERP out of the box functionality with minimum customization, applying industry aligned financial control and automation patterns.
The program coordinated the Oracle Cloud ERP rollout with an Oracle EPM implementation to align planning, consolidation and forecasting workflows, and included data migration from Oracle PeopleSoft ERP into the cloud system. Interfaces were built to support Accounting, Supply Chain, IT, Planning and Operations requirements, reflecting cross functional integration across finance and operational domains.
Operational ownership was organized under a Head of Oracle Cloud ERP and EPM Implementation who led a large cross functional team drawn from Accounting, Supply Chain, IT, Planning and Operations, instituting centralized governance and configuration control to standardize onshore processes. The implementation approach prioritized configuration driven process redesign and minimum viable customization to streamline approvals, controls and month end workflows.
The initiative aimed to optimize Transocean’s onshore processes and improve efficiency, while preserving Oracle Cloud ERP standard capabilities for scalability and future financial process harmonization.

In 2023, Transocean Offshore implemented Equus Assignments to transform its global mobility program using the Equus Platform, achieving a production-ready deployment in under 30 days. Equus Assignments was adopted as the core Compensation Management application to centralize assignment administration and to provide HR and global mobility teams with improved visibility into active assignments and cost estimates.
The implementation focused on the Assignments capabilities within Equus Assignments and extended to compensation and payroll process automation inferred from the case study narrative. Configuration work centered on structured assignment workflows, automated cost-estimate processes and pay-component orchestration typical of Compensation Management systems, enabling standardized assignment setup and recurring payroll-related calculations.
Operational scope encompassed HR and global mobility teams responsible for offshore personnel and international assignments, instrumenting the Equus Assignments application as the system of record for assignment details and cost planning. The deployment emphasized workflow orchestration for assignment approvals and centralized data capture to support downstream payroll and compensation processes without naming specific payroll integrations.
Governance and rollout were executed as a rapid program conversion, consolidating assignment administration under a single platform and standardizing approval and estimation practices for mobility operations. Reported outcomes included improved visibility, streamlined assignment workflows and more consistent cost-estimate processes for HR and global mobility teams, aligned with the capabilities of Equus Assignments as a Compensation Management solution.

| Hexagon | Legacy | HxGN EAM (Ex. Infor EAM) | Enterprise Asset Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2014 | 2014 |
In 2014 Transocean Offshore implemented HxGN EAM (Ex. Infor EAM) to address Enterprise Asset Management requirements across its land and offshore operations. The deployment was specified to support audit grade controls, EAM to EAM integration, and synchronized installations between onshore base infrastructure and distributed offshore oil platforms.
The implementation of HxGN EAM included core work management, asset management, inspection, and mobile execution capabilities, reflecting the product focus on field execution and inspection workflows. HxGN EAM was configured to provide best of breed functionality for work planning, asset lifecycle records, inspection scheduling and mobile crew execution, aligning application modules with oil and gas upstream maintenance practices.
Architecturally the solution was delivered as an on premise installation with a unique topology that centralized an onshore base install while establishing synchronized replicas or connections to offshore oil mining platforms. That synchronization model supported EAM to EAM integration requirements and enabled consistent asset and work order data across remote platforms and the onshore base.
Operational scope emphasized operations and maintenance teams, inspection units and mobile field crews across offshore and onshore sites, with governance designed around audit grade controls and synchronized update processes. The decision to implement HxGN EAM (Ex. Infor EAM) was driven by the application capability to support advanced synchronization deployment patterns and industry specific work and inspection processes for upstream oil and gas operations.
