In 2014, Travelocity implemented Mekko Graphics as a Content Management application to standardize visualization for finance and strategy reporting. The Mekko Graphics deployment focused on authoring and visualization capabilities, producing Marimekko, stacked bar, and waterfall charts for finance teams and for presentations to senior management and parent company Sabre. The implementation supported structured chart templates and report-ready exports to embed visuals into executive slide decks.
Travelocity used Mekko Graphics to analyze product- and market-level P&L, aligning finance, strategy, and operations teams in the U.S. while supporting global operations. The Content Management deployment emphasized clarity in operational reporting, helping teams focus on 80/20 drivers and accelerating decision-making on where to invest or cut costs. Charts were integrated into routine strategy presentations and periodic performance reviews, reinforcing governance around financial narrative and executive briefing workflows.
