In 2024 TriMet implemented Trapeze RISC to support HR Compliance,Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) for safety and incident management across its Portland-region transit operations. The Trapeze RISC deployment was provisioned alongside TriMet's existing Trapeze scheduling and paratransit systems, consolidating incident capture and compliance workflows into a unified Trapeze application footprint. Implementation focused on configuring incident intake, case management, investigation workflows, corrective action tracking, and regulatory compliance tagging consistent with EHS and HR compliance requirements. Role based access and audit logging were applied to align operator, supervisor, maintenance, safety, and HR responsibilities. The implementation included configuration of standardized incident categories, workflow automation for assignment and escalation, and operational dashboards for safety and compliance oversight. Integrations were limited to the Trapeze ecosystem as the primary platform for operations and scheduling, centralizing data for reporting and internal investigations. Governance moved to centralize incident data stewardship under safety leadership, with phased departmental rollouts in the Portland region and configuration governance to control templates, workflows, and access. Trapeze RISC functions were instrumented to support compliance recordkeeping, investigation documentation, and audit trail retention for EHS and HR compliance purposes.
