In 2018, Truegenics implemented Microsoft Dynamics NAV as its ERP Financial application for the Singapore entity. The deployment centralized core accounting and finance for TRUEGENICS PTE LTD, a 50-employee life sciences company, into a single ERP Financial ledger and reporting environment.
Microsoft Dynamics NAV was configured to support General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, accrual and prepayment processing, journal entry and bank reconciliation workflows, expense management, inventory valuation and COGS calculation, and the preparation of monthly financial statements. Month end and year end closing procedures and entity P and L analysis were formalized inside Microsoft Dynamics NAV to align operational accounting tasks with the system-led workflow.
The implementation incorporated explicit transaction reconciliation for PayPal receipts into Microsoft Dynamics NAV and maintained bank and account reconciliation workflows based on NAV transaction records. Inventory recording and fulfillment cost capture were executed through NAV inventory and costing capabilities, with data flows to supply chain operations to produce monthly COGS and inventory reports.
Operational governance included standardized monthly closings, preparation of audit schedules and coordination with external auditors, and GST return preparation and submission for Singapore tax compliance. Expense report review and tax query handling were managed as part of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV driven finance operating model.
