In 2017 Trustmark implemented Microsoft Power BI as its Analytics and BI platform and established a program for developing interactive data visualization reports and dashboards using Power BI Desktop. The implementation centered on report and dashboard creation to support internal and external reporting workflows, with Microsoft Power BI used to author Story Points and deploy packaged content to end users.
The technical implementation included extensive use of Microsoft Power BI Power Query to extract and transform data from external sources and Excel, along with development of SSIS packages to move and consolidate data.
