In 2011, Turbo One implemented Microsoft Dynamics NAV as its ERP Financial system. The deployment was led internally by the company Financial Controller and targeted core finance processes for the 50 person Singapore retail business.
Configuration emphasized core financial capabilities typical of ERP Financial systems, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash and treasury management, budgeting and consolidated management reporting. Microsoft Dynamics NAV was configured to support monthly and quarterly consolidated reports, periodic forecasts, annual budgets and multi year planning, with role based access and automation for routine period close activities.
The implementation integrated Microsoft Dynamics NAV with a QlikView reporting layer to deliver self service dashboards and standardized Annual Operating Plan formats for account managers and the finance function. Operational coverage included the finance team locally and regionally, direct interfaces for audit, secretarial and tax agents for compliance workflows, and coordination with operations and banking for treasury and credit facility management.
Governance and rollout were driven by the Financial Controller, who provided training and established internal control and GST submission workflows while aligning finance processes with operational teams. Documented outcomes include successful onboarding and training on Microsoft Dynamics NAV, significant productivity improvements from the QlikView reporting tool, and retention of the finance and IT teams with zero turnover over a seven year period.
