Discover the latest software purchases and digital transformation initiatives being undertaken by Turkish Aerospace Industries and its business and technology executives. Each quarter our research team identifies on-prem and cloud applications that are being used by the 5254 Turkish Aerospace Industries employees from the public (Press Releases, Customer References, Testimonials, Case Studies and Success Stories) and proprietary sources.
During our research, we have identified that Turkish Aerospace Industries has purchased the following applications: Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE Platform for Project Portfolio Management in 2018, Siemens Teamcenter for Product Lifecycle Management in 2018, Slack Connect for Collaboration in 2022 and the related IT decision-makers and key stakeholders.
Our database provides customer insight and contextual information on which enterprise applications and software systems Turkish Aerospace Industries is running and its propensity to invest more and deepen its relationship with Dassault Systemes , Siemens Digital Industries Software , Slack Technologies or identify new suppliers as part of their overall Digital and IT transformation projects to stay competitive, fend off threats from disruptive forces, or comply with internal mandates to improve overall enterprise efficiency.
We have been analyzing Turkish Aerospace Industries revenues, which have grown to $1.00 billion in 2023, plus its IT budget and roadmap, cloud software purchases, aggregating massive amounts of data points that form the basis of our forecast assumptions for Turkish Aerospace Industries intention to invest in emerging technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, IoT, Blockchain, Autonomous Database or in cloud-based ERP, HCM, CRM, EPM, Procurement or Treasury applications.
About the Customer
Turkish Aircraft Industries Corporation (TAI) was established on June 28, 1973, under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Technology in order to reduce the foreign dependency in defense industry of Turkey.
Turkish Aerospace is Turkey’s center of technology in design, development, modernization, manufacturing, integration and life cycle support of integrated aerospace systems, from fixed and rotary wing air platforms to UAV and space systems.
Scope and Challenges
Turkish Aerospace Industries has selected technology from Siemens PLM Software to implement a complete digital twin in the company’s manufacturing enterprise.
Using software from Siemens, Turkish Aerospace Industries will be able to create a digital twin of products and apply engineering simulations to these products, 'Turkish Aerospace Industries sees exciting opportunities ahead for the design and production of indigenous products, made possible by infrastructure accumulations provided by Siemens in the field of industry.
The agreement with Siemens PLM Software will help ensure rapid implementation of the current Turkish Aerospace Industries projects and will keep product data safe and secured.
The Company partnership aims to reduce the time-to-market period for projects. Therefore, the company will deliver the products to the customers in a shorter space of time. Different groups working on the same project will be able to operate on the same data. Thus, design and production activities will be synchronized, and manufacturing errors can be reduced.
Outcome and Implications
Turkish Aerospace will use the 3DEXPERIENCE platform for end to end development of next generation, multirole aircraft.
More than 2,000 project participants at Turkish Aerospace, its partners and suppliers will collaborate by relying on a single source of data across all digital design, engineering, simulation, manufacturing, business analytics, and governance applications.
Turkish Aerospace will use the Winning Program, Co-Design to Target, Test to Perform, Ready for Rate and Build to Operate industry solution experiences based on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform to develop its next generation, multirole aircraft from design through production
Quotes
Turkish Aerospace Industries has quickly grown into a leader in the aerospace and defense market, and implementing a digital twin for design, manufacturing and systems performance will only help increase the company’s competitiveness. Using an integrated digital innovation platform can help test and verify system performance earlier in manufacturing, reducing physical prototyping and saving time and errors. Using an optimized manufacturing process will ultimately help Turkish Aerospace Industries deliver more innovative and robust solutions to their helicopter, UAV and aircraft customers.' said Tony Hemmelgarn, president, and CEO, Siemens PLM Software.
“The size of the TF-X Program presented us with an opportunity. We wanted to select a software solution suitable for this project that also allows us to streamline our business process with Aerospace best practices. “Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform and its integrated applications convinced us of the need for taking the next step. Our company will gain extensive capabilities for aviation design, development, and production, and be able to demonstrate its determination to accomplish large projects,” said Temel Kotil, President/CEO, Turkish Aerospace.
“Aircraft development, considered one of the most technologically advanced projects in any industry, is growing more complex. As companies integrate sophisticated systems and technologies, they seek new ways to conceptualize, design, manufacture, test, certify and sustain products while collaborating across functions and geographies. The 3DEXPERIENCE platform provides them with the digital capabilities to accelerate such programs by up to 50 percent. Turkish Aerospace can, therefore, improve decision-making, reduce risks, and transform its end-to-end development.” said David Ziegler, Vice President, Aerospace & Defense Industry, Dassault Systèmes
