In 2024, Tyrewise New Zealand implemented Intertek SupplyTek, a Supply Chain Management application, to formalize foreign end-market verification for exported tyre derived material. The adoption follows Tyre Stewardship Australia’s Foreign End Market Verification approach and uses Intertek’s Inlight based verification capabilities to validate environmental, health and safety and labour standards.
Implementation centered on digital verification workflows, evidence capture and centralized assurance case management within Intertek SupplyTek, configured to record chain of custody details and export documentation. The configuration included role based access for compliance and operations staff, audit trail logging and template driven reporting to support export checks. These modules align with standard Supply Chain Management functionality for compliance, traceability and supplier verification.
The deployment covers Tyrewise’s export compliance processes across New Zealand’s tyre derived material exporters and the scheme’s governance teams, coordinating verification activities for overseas end market checks. Intertek SupplyTek was used to operationalize Inlight based remote verification workflows and to consolidate verification evidence and assurance artifacts into a single digital repository. No external system integrations were specified in source information, so the implementation focused on internal verification orchestration and Intertek’s assurance tooling.
Governance changes established standard operating procedures for foreign end market verification, including evidence submission, reviewer assignment and adjudication workflows managed inside Intertek SupplyTek.
