| SAP | Legacy | SAP S/4 HANA | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2020 | 2021 |
In 2020, UGI Utilities implemented SAP S/4 HANA as its ERP Financial platform. The deployment was scoped to support the companys core finance, billing and customer care back office functions at the 1,500 employee utility operating in the United States.
The implementation used SAP Fiori as the user experience layer and deployed a SAP HANA Sidecar architecture with SAP SLT for real time replication and data movement. Functional coverage centered on ERP Financial capabilities including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and integration with industry specific modules, with SAP ISU and CRM linked into the SAP S/4 HANA environment.
Integration architecture combined SAP S/4 HANA with SAP BW for analytics and SAP Business Objects for enterprise reporting, while SAP PO managed application messaging and orchestration. Data integration and quality tooling included SAP BODS and SAP Information Steward to feed BW and reporting layers, and SAP HANA Sidecar was used to isolate analytical workloads from transactional processing.
Governance and operational tooling was governed with SAP Solution Manager 7.2 to manage application lifecycle, transports and monitoring, and SAP EnableNow was adopted for end user training and in application guidance. The overall implementation tied SAP S/4 HANA, SAP Fiori and the surrounding SAP stack into an ERP Financial architecture designed to centralize financial processing, billing integration and enterprise reporting.

| Sun-Net | Legacy | Sun-Net iTOA | Outage Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2021 | 2021 |
In 2021, UGI Utilities upgraded its long-running TOA Classic installation to Sun-Net iTOA to manage interruption and request tracking, logging and reports for its electric operations in Pennsylvania. The deployment implemented Outage Management capabilities to support operations and outage coordination across UGI's North America electric footprint.
The Sun-Net iTOA implementation consolidated core Outage Management functionality including interruption and request tracking, centralized logging, and operational reporting modules. Vendor statements specify the 2021 upgrade migrated more than 10 years of historical outage records into the Sun-Net iTOA environment, preserving event history for analysis and regulatory reporting. Configuration efforts focused on outage lifecycle workflows, dispatch event logging, and standardized report templates aligned to electric operations.
A key integration added during the upgrade was a PJM outage submission interface, enabling electronic transmission of outage data to the regional transmission organization for coordination and compliance. Operational coverage centers on UGI's Pennsylvania electric operations, with Sun-Net iTOA supporting outage coordination between field operations and system control. The implementation aligns the application to conventional Outage Management terminology such as outage lifecycle, dispatch, and restoration tracking.
UGI and the vendor positioned the 2021 upgrade to improve operational efficiency and safety through better data continuity and automated PJM submissions. Governance emphasis included maintaining historical record integrity during migration and standardizing reporting and logging workflows to support operational adoption.

In 2012, UGI Utilities implemented Oracle OBIEE to provide enterprise reporting and analytics, positioning Oracle OBIEE within its Analytics and BI stack for operational and financial reporting. The implementation targeted reporting and ad hoc analysis to support Major Accounts, Rates, Revenue Accounting, and Energy Supply functions across the organization.
The rollout combined Oracle OBIEE dashboards and reporting catalogs with Oracle PL/SQL driven data models and queries, and included development and maintenance of custom add on applications that pair with and enhance Gastar, a third party SaaS product from Ensyste. Teams delivered stand alone applications for inter department use using VB6, VB.NET, C#, HTML, XML XSL, and VBA, while authoring ad hoc queries and operational reports directly through Oracle PL/SQL and Oracle OBIEE.
Integrations centered on the Gastar integration with Ensyste and on the Supplier Online Portal which UGI administered as part of the implementation. Technical architecture tied OBIEE reporting layers to backend relational data via PL/SQL based extracts and reporting views, with the custom add on applications layered alongside OBIEE to address departmental workflows and data exchange with Gastar.
Operational governance emphasized application administration, ongoing maintenance, and cross functional support. Staff responsibilities included administering the Supplier Online Portal, troubleshooting and providing day to day assistance across Major Accounts, Rates, Revenue Accounting, and Energy Supply, and evolving OBIEE reports and custom apps to meet changing operational reporting requirements.
