Configuration work concentrated on retirement distribution workflows, benefit calculation and election handling, and reporting and reconciliation modules within FIS Relius. FIS Relius was configured to drive distribution event processing and to stage trade requests for cash raising activities used to satisfy client payouts.
Operational integration included direct use of Relius alongside Matrix Bridge to place distribution trades and generate cash for retiree disbursements, reflecting an explicit execution linkage between systems. Daily, monthly and quarterly reporting was produced from Relius to support coordination with trust and tax departments and to ensure bookkeeping and compliance reviews.
Governance and operational change emphasized role based workflows for retirement specialists to place trades and confirm scheduled payments, and standardized review cycles with two to three colleagues in trust and tax functions. The deployment supported high volume operational throughput, with retirement specialists completing on average 800 monthly retirement distributions through Matrix Bridge and Relius and educating clients on plan options and site navigation.
