In 2017, Validus implemented Xero as its ERP Financial application to support accounting and human resource reporting, targeting compliance with Singapore Ministry of Manpower regulation. The deployment positioned Xero as the core financial ledger and reporting engine while serving HR reporting needs for statutory compliance.
The implementation encompassed Xero Accounting Software configuration for core bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable workflows, and the setup of Receipt Bank to capture and process source documents for automated expense and invoice capture. Training and oversight were provided to users of Xero Accounting Software to ensure adoption of receipt capture and bookkeeping procedures.
Integration work included compiling and analyzing accounting information held in the Validus Platform investment to be brought into Xero, creating a feed of investment accounting records into the ERP Financial environment. Operational coverage focused on finance and HR departments within Validus in Singapore, aligned to company reporting and statutory submission processes.
Governance and operational controls were established through periodic monitoring and review of outsourced vendors to ensure quality of engagement, and by driving process improvement and policy development initiatives tied to accounting and HR reporting. The project notes indicate the implementation was completed successfully, with ongoing oversight and training to sustain compliance and reporting workflows.
