Scope and Challenges
Vanderbilt University selected Oracle HCM Cloud and Oracle ERP Cloud to replace a 30-year-old legacy system that could not support its split from its medical center. The Oracle solutions will enable the university to modernize business processes for more than 9,000+ employees, 300 ERP users, and 3,000 student workers.
Outcome and Implications
Additionally, the cloud-based solutions will enable Vanderbilt University’s IT team to refocus their attention to other value-add activities—increasing productivity, helping ensure rapid innovation, and improving operational efficiency. The SkyVU project and the implementation of Oracle Cloud will bring many positive changes to Vanderbilt University’s human resources systems while maintaining certain features to which we have become accustomed.
"Vanderbilt University successfully implemented Release 12 of Oracle Cloud applications for Finance, Research Administration, HR, Budgeting/Planning, and BI Reporting. This session will overview how Vanderbilt transitioned from PeopleSoft HCM to Oracle Cloud from the perspective of HR processing and systems management." - said Kristie Hall, Director of HR Information Systems at Vanderbilt University.
