In 2017, Vaya Health implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations to establish an ERP Financial platform supporting reporting, procurement, and budgeting practices. The program was executed as a phased conversion initiative led from the Corporate Applications portfolio, targeting corporate finance, procurement, and reporting workflows as part of broader IT consolidation activities.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations was configured to deliver core ERP Financial capabilities including financial reporting, procurement workflow automation, purchase order controls, and budget management. The implementation used Agile product teams with maintained Epic, Feature, and User Story backlogs, and emphasized SDLC governance, sprint ceremonies, and product roadmap-driven configuration and testing.
Operational ownership remained within IT operations and the corporate applications product teams, with direction from an IT Director overseeing 32 direct staff and matrixed resources responsible for reporting, data management, infrastructure, security, corporate applications, and help desk functions. The rollout was coordinated with the PMO, included phased conversion sequencing and data preservation activities, and involved vendor performance oversight against Statements of Work.
Governance constructs created during the implementation included a Business Relationship Management program, retooling of ServiceNow to support incident, problem, change, resource, and asset management, and formal approval controls for invoices and IT expenditures. Vaya Health drove product roadmaps, vendor management, and SDLC-aligned rollout practices to operationalize Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations across finance, procurement, and reporting business functions.

| Broadcom | Legacy | AppWorx Workload Automation | Business Process Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2021 | 2021 |
In 2021, Vaya Health implemented AppWorx Workload Automation as part of its Business Process Management environment to orchestrate scheduled workloads across its cloud and on premises application landscape. The deployment of AppWorx Workload Automation by Broadcom was positioned to centralize job scheduling for data and API workflows that support clinical and administrative systems within the healthcare organization.
The implementation focused on workload orchestration and job scheduling capabilities, including automated execution of third party API calls, invocation of Oracle database functions and stored procedures, and coordination of ETL processes. AppWorx Workload Automation was configured to trigger and sequence jobs used by microservices and backend batch processes, aligning with existing RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints developed for application integration.
Architecturally the AppWorx Workload Automation instance was integrated with a mixed cloud footprint, interfacing with Azure App Services and Azure SQL and App Insights, AWS RDS for PostgreSQL, S3 storage, and Oracle databases. The implementation tied into the organization DevOps toolchain, consuming Jenkins pipelines and GitLab version control for job deployment, and interoperated with Nginx reverse proxy and an Apigee gateway layer that handles API authentication and routing for microservices built on Spring Boot, Node.js, and .NET Core.
Governance and operational controls were aligned with existing Agile and JIRA processes, CI CD pipelines, and monitoring practices, with automated alerts surfaced through Azure Application Insights and Office 365 notifications and logs forwarded to Splunk. AppWorx Workload Automation was instrumented to fit into the established job lifecycle, enabling scheduled, repeatable workload execution and operational visibility within Vaya Healths Business Process Management framework.
