In 2017, Venable implemented Corridor Contract Management as its Contract Lifecycle Management platform. The deployment was scoped to support the firm’s corporate legal team, contract administration functions, procurement touchpoints, and practice groups within a 900 person professional services firm operating in the United States.
Corridor Contract Management was configured to deliver core CLM capabilities including contract authoring and template libraries, clause and playbook governance, centralized contract repository with full-text search, version control and redlining, automated approval routing, obligation and milestone tracking, and reporting for contract lifecycle stages. The implementation emphasized document control, electronic signature readiness, and role based access to align legal drafting and commercial negotiation workflows.
Operational workflows were built to connect legal review, procurement intake, outside counsel engagement protocols, and contract closeout procedures, with Corridor Contract Management orchestrating approvals and escalation paths. The solution supported matter tagging and metadata enrichment to enable contract classification and lifecycle status reporting across practice areas.
Governance centered on centralized template management, standardized approval matrices, audit trails for compliance, and phased rollouts by practice group to manage change. Training and documented workflows were used to establish consistent contract intake, review, and execution processes under the Corridor Contract Management implementation.
