| SAP | Legacy | SAP S/4 HANA | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019 Viessmann migrated to SAP S/4 HANA and implemented an ERP Financial platform as the companywide digital core. The global go live consolidated 28 production units across 34 countries and 78 sales organizations, encompassed 190 company codes under one client, affected more than 6,000 users, and transferred roughly 30 billion data records using a near zero downtime method, with the overall project completed in 18 months.
The project followed a selective, greenfield conversion guided by the s.m.a.r.t. Green approach from Corporate Business Solutions, combining a selective data transition with targeted redesign of nonviable processes. The technical rollout used a three step selective data transition, first provisioning an SAP S/4 HANA system, then copying and adapting relevant customizing and customer developments, and finally executing data migration and go live with the cbs ET Enterprise Transformer for SAP S/4HANA to minimize operational interruption.
The implementation covered the full SAP suite of modules including financial accounting, asset management, controlling, materials management, warehouse management, production planning, sales and distribution, human capital management, customer services, project systems, quality management, and plant maintenance. Viessmann also implemented integrated business planning and material requirements planning, with MRP calculation times explicitly reduced from six hours to 50 minutes, and operational areas such as production, shipping, and warehouse continued running at full load through the go live period.
Governance and rollout were centralized under appointed global process owners and top management sponsorship, supported by close collaboration among process owners, key users, Viessmann IT Service, and cbs consultants. The program emphasized intensive end to end testing, integrated project, time, and risk management, selective harmonization of processes, and data cleansing. As an outcome the company reports integrated digital business processes companywide, reduced IT complexity, faster availability of critical spare parts enabling inventory reductions, improved logistics service levels, and significant cost savings attributed to the selective migration approach.

| Greenhouse | Legacy | Greenhouse ATS | Applicant Tracking System | HCM | n/a | 2020 | 2020 |
In 2020, Viessmann implemented Greenhouse ATS as its Applicant Tracking System to support centralized recruiting processes for a global manufacturing organization with approximately 14,500 employees. The implementation targeted Talent Acquisition and HR teams and was rolled out across multiple legal entities locally and internationally, aligning recruiting workflows with company hiring standards.
The Greenhouse ATS deployment consolidated core applicant tracking capabilities including job requisition management, candidate pipelines, interview orchestration, offer tracking, and reporting dashboards. Viessmann staffed Talent Acquisition Operations resources to keep Greenhouse ATS well maintained, ensure data integrity, and to roll out new features and processes, while configuring role-based access and recruiter workflows to standardize hiring across entities.
Operational work included preparing and driving process implementations, creating overarching and stakeholder specific reports and ad hoc dashboards, and sequencing feature rollouts across local and international teams. The project defined integration points typical for an Applicant Tracking System, such as HRIS synchronization, calendar and scheduling connectors, and email and communication touchpoints to support interview scheduling and offer workflows.
Governance was structured around cross functional teams and OKR driven projects, with Talent Acquisition Operations leading process standardization, stakeholder reporting, and phased rollouts to different entities. The implementation emphasized ongoing configuration management and reporting governance to maintain data quality and consistent recruiting operations across Viessmann.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP Manufacturing Execution | Manufacturing Execution System | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019, Viessmann implemented SAP Manufacturing Execution as a core Manufacturing Execution System to support manufacturing and production operations within the Viessmann Group. The deployment was led from Viessmann IT Service GmbH and positioned under the Head of SAP, with an international application team responsible for day to day operations and continuous development, and with on site presence expected up to three days per week at the Allendorf location.
The SAP Manufacturing Execution implementation focused on shop floor execution capabilities common to a Manufacturing Execution System, including real time production order status, work order dispatching, material tracking and execution level data capture. Configuration and extension work emphasized integration with the broader SAP application portfolio, and the narrative for the role highlights hands on experience in S/4 HANA, ABAP, Java and Fiori development as part of the solution landscape.
Integration scenarios were explicitly developed and evolved within the SAP environment to connect SAP Manufacturing Execution with SAP EWM, SAP IBP, S/4 HANA, SAP SAC, Group Reporting and available SAP cloud products. The program defined interfaces to internal customers and external suppliers, and created orchestration patterns for transactional and reporting data flows across manufacturing, supply chain and financial domains.
Governance and operational controls were implemented following ITIL principles, with formal problem and change management processes, service quality assurance and explicit attention to service risks and costs. Strategic roadmap planning and ongoing application portfolio management were part of the implementation mandate, with leadership responsibilities for developing application experts and refining the integrated SAP solution architecture across manufacturing and supply chain functions.
