In 2015, Viridor implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as an ERP Financial deployment to centralize core procurement, inventory and plant maintenance processes. The rollout included a formal training engagement running from May 2015 to September 2016 that targeted end users, super users and a train the trainer cadre across the business.
The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 implementation delivered configuration and course coverage for SAP MM modules including Procurement, Inventory Management and Physical Inventory, alongside SAP PM for Plant Maintenance. The program also documented working knowledge of SAP CRM and OpenText Vendor Invoice Management for SAP solutions, while explicitly embedding Training Design, Training Development and Course Delivery as part of the cutover readiness activities.
Training content and enablement assets were produced using SAP Workforce Performance Builder for content development, supplemented with e learning modules, simulated training exercises, user guides, manuals and quick reference guides. Short introduction and overview courses were delivered around the country to educate business teams, reflecting an operational rollout model that prioritized distributed classroom and simulated scenario training.
Operational coverage focused on procurement, plant maintenance, inventory and customer facing functions, with training and support workflows interfacing with other operational tools such as Lawson PSA, Clarity project management, Lotus Notes and Jira. In 2022 Viridor deployed the Sodexo Engage Employee Benefits Platform to deliver a Christmas reward programme using the Pluxee Card. The implementation used the Sodexo Engage Employee Benefits Platform within the Benefits Administration category to support HR and employee engagement across the United Kingdom during the cost of living period.
The deployment configured core benefits administration workflows typical of card based reward programmes, including bulk reward issuance, Pluxee Card provisioning, employee enrolment and targeted communications. The Sodexo Engage Employee Benefits Platform was used to administer inclusive rewards and financial wellbeing measures, enabling HR to define eligibility and reward types through the platform.
Delivery was executed as a centrally managed HR programme leveraging the Pluxee benefits platform and the Pluxee Card as the redemption mechanism, covering colleagues across the UK. Operational coverage focused on employee engagement and financial wellbeing, with communications and distribution orchestrated through the platform.
Governance and rollout were run by Viridor HR and employee engagement teams as a seasonal programme in 2022, with vendor reported outcomes including improved employee support and increased take up. The case reflects a single platform approach to Benefits Administration, consolidating reward issuance and communications under the Sodexo Engage Employee Benefits Platform.

In 2014 Viridor implemented SAP BusinessObjects as its Analytics and BI platform to consolidate enterprise reporting and ad hoc analysis. The deployment was aligned with an SAP-centric stack that includes SAP ERP 6.0 EHP7, CRM 7.0 EHP2, SAP BW 7.4, SAP PI 7.4, BODS 4.2 and Nakisa 4.1, establishing a coherent data and application topology for reporting queries and semantic provisioning.
SAP BusinessObjects 4.1 was configured to provide a semantic layer for business users, together with Web Intelligence and Crystal Reports for operational and scheduled reporting, and BI Launch Pad for centralized content access. The configuration emphasized report lifecycle management and cataloged universes to enable ad hoc analysis and governed reporting, consistent with Analytics and BI functional workflows.
Integration workstreams used SAP PI 7.4 for application level connectivity and BODS 4.2 for data provisioning into SAP BW 7.4, with SAP BusinessObjects consuming BW content and semantic models for dashboarding and operational reports. Nakisa 4.1 and CRM 7.0 EHP2 were included in the information architecture for organizational and customer related reporting, with ERP master data surfaced through BW queries and universes.
Governance focused on central content management and security alignment between SAP BusinessObjects and BW authorizations, coupled with change control for report promotion and publication. Operational ownership was centered in the BI and IT teams working with business analysts to standardize report definitions and access, reinforcing structured report governance within the Analytics and BI program.
