In 2024, VPZ implemented Epos Now as their Point Of Sale across more than 100 retail stores in the United Kingdom. VPZ Epos Now Point Of Sale supports inventory, order management, sales analytics and loyalty workflows for a large customer base and omnichannel storefronts.
The deployment positioned Epos Now as the master inventory system, centralizing stock control and point of sale transactions at store level. Functional modules and capabilities implemented included inventory synchronization, online order ingestion into the till, sales data export for analytics, and loyalty balance checks with automated triggers to manage customer communications.
Integrations were built and maintained between Epos Now and Linnworks to keep listings, inventory and orders synchronized across multiple marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay and Shopify, preventing overselling across channels. A custom web application integrates Epos Now with StoreTech by aggregating anonymised sales data in half hour intervals and forwarding it to StoreTech for near real time footfall correlation and conversion reporting, and the loyalty workflow integrates with SendGrid to manage eligibility and confirmation emails for competition entrants.
Governance and process automation included deduplication logic to ensure each loyalty customer received a single eligibility email when passing the points threshold, automated detection of product purchases that qualify entrants, and a persisted list of competition entrants. The integrated solution prevented overselling, delivered near real time store analytics to inform operational decisions such as opening hours and promotions, and automated the competition entry process which saved time and money and generated a large volume of loyalty signups for VPZ.
