The project scope centered on functional design, development of detailed functional and technical specifications, and the Business Blueprint that formally documented design decisions and business solution definitions.
Operational coverage included plant maintenance and sales and distribution business functions across the identified sites, with the project manager developing and managing the IT project plan and program resources. The implementation was executed through a stage gate System Development Life Cycle discipline, with an offshore development team of six resourced and directed by the project manager to build and test the PM and SD GFM functionality.
Governance focused on blueprint-driven design, iterative issue resolution and managed handoffs between functional, technical and operations teams. The project manager drove the design-to-go-live sequence and delivered the Plant Maintenance and Sales and Distribution Global Fleet Management functionality in SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to a successful go live on time and under budget.

Operational coverage extended across Global HR Shared Services with specific execution touch points in North America operations, manufacturing plant management and Finance for annual operations headcount planning and incentive compensation activities.
Governance and adoption activities included training and coaching for newly hired HR Managers and Generalists, participation in global talent review meetings, and partnership with Operations and Finance leaders on 2017 AOP headcount projections. Separately, the HR program team executed a nationwide Voluntary Separation Program in early 2017 that resulted in more than 50 employee exits and approximately $7,000,000 in documented savings, and the organization also implemented an upgraded background screening tool for North America as part of the broader HR systems work.
