The implementation applied typical screening modalities such as identity verification, criminal record checks, and employment and education verifications, and Sterling Background Check was configured to feed screening status into candidate lifecycle views. Operational integrations centered on the applicant tracking system connection and onboarding touchpoints, supporting recruiting activity across Loan Operations, Human Resources, Marketing, and Information Services. Implementation scope remained recruiting centric, with the screening service embedded into selection workflows and candidate communications to ensure screening status was visible to hiring managers and talent acquisition staff. Governance and process changes accompanied the technical deployment, the recruiting team rebuilt recruiting and onboarding processes, created a recruiting handbook with phone screen templates and sourcing strategy, and trained and mentored new team members on the integrated screening workflow. The program was managed alongside recruiting metrics reporting and recruiting budget ownership, keeping screening operations aligned with broader talent acquisition governance.
