| Microsoft | Legacy | Microsoft Dynamics AX | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2016 | 2017 |
In 2016 Wehkamp implemented Microsoft Dynamics AX as its ERP Financial backbone, explicitly to support financial reporting and stock management within the retailer's IT landscape. The implementation is referenced alongside a Microsoft BI environment managed by the internal BI team, with a SQL Server 2016 DWH forming a central analytics layer for Dynamics AX data.
Microsoft Dynamics AX was configured to deliver core ERP Financial capabilities for finance and inventory data, with feeds from the application ingested into the SQL Server 2016 DWH for reporting and analytics. The implementation is aligned to support stock management and financial reporting workflows, and the Microsoft BI environment is the operational consumer of Dynamics AX transactional and master data.
The SQL Server DWH coexists with an Oracle DWH used as the corporate DWH, and SAS is used to query the corporate DWH. Source systems consolidated into the SQL Server DWH include Microsoft Dynamics AX for ERP Financial and stock, KiSoft of Knapp for Warehouse Management System data, Supply Chain Suite SCS of MPObjects, customer care data sources, and the ProTime HR time registration system, enabling cross‑functional analytics across finance, supply chain, warehouse, customer care, and HR time reporting.
Governance and operational ownership reside with Wehkamp’s BI team, which manages the Microsoft BI environment and the SQL Server 2016 DWH ingestion pipelines and reporting layers. Data flow orchestration and ETL into the SQL Server DWH were structured to support downstream reporting needs of finance, supply chain, and operational teams, while the corporate Oracle DWH and SAS remain in place for enterprise reporting and specialized analytics.

| Protime | Legacy | Protime Self Service | Employee Self Service | HCM | n/a | 2000 | 2000 |
In 2000, Wehkamp began using Protime Self Service. The implementation responded to sustained growth in daily visitors and order volume, which placed heavy pressure on HR to align personnel planning with fluctuating order volumes. Protime Self Service was adopted to centralize workforce scheduling and reduce fragmentation across planning, access and time registration processes.
Protime Self Service consolidates planning, access and time registration capability within a single Employee Self Service environment, enabling standard workforce scheduling and time registration workflows for retail and fulfillment operations. Modules referenced by the customer include planning, access control and time registration, and the implementation emphasizes a unified operational environment rather than multiple point solutions. The full Protime Self Service application is positioned as the primary tool for coordinating staff scheduling, shift planning and attendance capture across Wehkamp's online operations.
The deployment scope covers HR and online operations responsible for order fulfillment, with configuration focused on aligning personnel planning to order volume patterns. Governance shifted toward centralized administration of planning and time policies within Protime Self Service, reducing the need to manage separate systems for scheduling, access and timekeeping. Wehkamp reports continued satisfaction with Protime's solutions, stating they still meet the needs of the online department store.

In 2017, Wehkamp implemented Descartes Electronic Data Interchange to support Collaboration across its dropshipment and e commerce order fulfillment operations. The deployment of Descartes Electronic Data Interchange is framed explicitly to enhance partner connectivity for supplier supplied inventory and end to end dropship flows.
The implementation focused on standard EDI functional modules, including structured transmission of purchase orders, order acknowledgements, advanced shipping notices, and invoicing to support dropship workflows. Configuration work centered on message translation and validation, document mapping for supplier variants, and routing rules to align EDI document flows with Wehkamp order processing and fulfillment orchestration.
Operational integration connected Descartes Electronic Data Interchange to Wehkamp order management and supplier network interfaces, enabling automated exchanges between vendor systems and internal fulfillment queues. Governance and rollout emphasized supplier onboarding, EDI mapping and testing cycles, exception handling workflows, and change control for document standard updates, embedding the Collaboration capability into supply chain, vendor management, and logistics business functions.
