Zoho Corp. Legacy Zoho ManageEngine AssetExplorer Hardware Asset Management (HAM), Software Asset Management (SAM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), SaaS Spend Management IT Asset Management n/a 2019 2019
In 2019 William Penn Bank implemented Zoho ManageEngine AssetExplorer to centralize IT asset records and manage hardware and software lifecycles, using the application as the authoritative inventory store for Hardware Asset Management (HAM),Software Asset Management (SAM),IT Asset Management (ITAM),SaaS Spend Management. The deployment focused on asset discovery and recording, capturing laptops and workstations at initial deployment and ongoing lifecycle events across 13 branches and back office locations. Zoho ManageEngine AssetExplorer was used to maintain a consolidated catalog of physical devices and software entitlements, and to support routine asset updates tied to help desk activity. Operationally the asset data maintained in ManageEngine AssetExplorer was used alongside Office365 user management and Active Directory account workflows, and it supported help desk ticketing and documentation processes in ServiceDesk. Asset records were maintained in parallel with an MDM system and referenced during remote support sessions using Splashtop and during on site troubleshooting for printers, phones and VLAN assignments. The application’s inventory served operational teams including the help desk, branch support staff, and junior systems analysts responsible for device deployment, password resets in banking applications, and monthly equipment checks. Governance relied on ticket driven updates and branch level operational procedures, with the help desk acting as the primary updater of asset state and assignment metadata. Daily and monthly operational tasks such as resolving tickets, assigning teller drawer devices via mySQL workflows, and performing monthly camera checks were linked to asset records to ensure accurate status and ownership. The implementation emphasized process alignment between provisioning, security enforcement, and asset recordkeeping rather than third party implementation partner involvement.
