| IBM | Legacy | IBM AS/400 | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2000 | 2000 |
In 2000, Winzer implemented the IBM AS/400 as its ERP Financial application. The IBM AS/400 was provisioned as an on-premises midrange host to centralize core financial processing and recordkeeping for the distribution business.
The implementation covered invoice management and accounts receivable workflows, with the IBM AS/400 supporting invoice updates, customer billing records, and setup of franchise agreements. Administrative and clerical capabilities were embedded in daily operations, including switchboard and receptionist duties, support to the Director of Services, and coordination of service awards.
Operational integration included desktop and collaborative tools, explicit use of Excel, Smartsheet and Lotus Notes alongside IBM AS/400 for data entry, reconciliation and communication. The Administrative Assistant to the Director of Services updated invoice information via IBM AS/400, Excel, Smartsheet and Lotus Notes, and maintained direct contact with franchises regarding agreements, certificates of insurance and service awards.
Governance and workflow details centered on structured processes for setting up franchise agreements, arranging Certificates of Insurance for franchises, and presenting insurance information during new franchise orientation meetings, which placed the IBM AS/400 at the center of franchise administration and finance operations.

| Epicor | Legacy | Epicor Prophet 21 | Distribution ERP | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2011 | 2011 |
In 2011, Winzer implemented Epicor Prophet 21 Distribution ERP. The deployment was built on a Microsoft SQL Server oriented stack using C# for application logic and T-SQL for data procedures, with SSIS used for ETL and integration orchestration, establishing a database-centric architecture for core distribution workflows.
Epicor Prophet 21 was configured to support inventory and catalog management, order processing, accounts receivable automation, and enterprise reporting. Implemented capabilities included an item add change and remove process that controlled availability for 70,000 items across five separate product catalogs, an automated AR write off process for select customer classes to reduce manual accounting work, and reporting developed with SSRS ReportBuilder3 and Power BI.
The implementation integrated directly with operational systems, including a warehouse conveyor system that receives order type responses for diversion to special packaging, and connections to CRM and approximately 100 third party vendor catalogs to support a 500,000 item fastener ordering system with purchase history. Integration patterns used SSIS packages and T SQL procedures to exchange data and to return order routing decisions at a daily throughput scale noted in operations.
Governance and operationalization included SQL procedures and triggers that create an audit trail of incoming order type requests and outgoing responses, a daily email validation job that flagged invalid addresses among 10,000 plus customer and in house emails, and multi tier phone support coverage for 400 franchises. These changes restructured accounting and warehouse workflows through automation and introduced database level auditability and scheduled ETL governance for ongoing operations.

In 2021 Winzer implemented Oracle Content and Experience Cloud to centralize Content Management,Digital Asset Management across its distribution operations. The project focused on establishing a unified content repository and digital asset management layer to support product content, marketing collateral, and commerce-facing media across the organization.
Oracle Content and Experience Cloud was configured to provide a governed content repository, metadata modeling and tagging schemas, content lifecycle automation for authoring and approval, and API-based content delivery for storefront and catalog use cases. The implementation emphasized digital asset management capabilities and content lifecycle workflows typical of the Content Management,Digital Asset Management category, including version control, metadata-driven search, and staged publishing.
Integrations were executed using Oracle Integration Cloud to connect Oracle Content and Experience Cloud with Winzer’s broader Oracle estate, specifically Oracle Cloud Fusion CX and FSCM, Oracle Cloud Warehouse Management, Oracle Commerce Cloud, and Oracle Cloud CPQ, as well as the customer-facing order management tool Pepperi. These integrations implemented a canonical content model and API orchestration to ensure product content and assets flowed into commerce, CPQ, warehouse, and order management channels.
Governance was centered on role-based access controls, approval workflows, and taxonomy governance to align content production with sales, marketing, e-commerce, and supply chain teams. The rollout was coordinated alongside adjacent Oracle Cloud implementations to sequence content provisioning for commerce and CPQ go lives, enabling centralized content operations for Winzer’s Plano, Texas distribution footprint.
