Configuration emphasized workflow rules, role-based approvals, and document indexing to support invoice lifecycle management and compliance controls.
Deployment followed a phased go-live model and supported phased Go Live Preparations and Cutovers for OpenText VIM, with governance led by AP process owners and finance change control teams. Implementation included integration interfaces to Xcel Energy financial systems to push approved transactions to downstream ledgers, and operational coverage centered on accounts payable and shared services teams across the enterprise.

SAP SuccessFactors Compensation was operated alongside Recruiting, Recruiting Marketing, Performance and Goals, Variable Pay, Reporting and Analytics, Employee Profile, and Succession Planning to create linked talent and pay workflows and consolidated talent reporting.
Operational coverage focused on HR and talent management functions, using Reporting and Analytics to align performance inputs with compensation cycles and to support compensation committee review processes. Functional impact included recruiting to payout handoffs, performance calibration inputs for merit and bonus decisions, and centralized employee profile attributes feeding compensation eligibility.
Governance and ongoing system stewardship were provided by a Talent Management System Administrator who supported the SuccessFactors modules from May 2014 through May 2021, maintaining configurations for Recruiting, Performance and Goals, Compensation, Variable Pay, Employee Profile, Reporting and Analytics, and Succession Planning. SAP SuccessFactors Compensation remained the core application for Xcel Energy's Compensation Management workflows and administrative controls.
